Wallabies of the Future

They're playing under a pretty average coaching team in fairness. They've both had strong individual seasons as part of a flailing team. At times there's only so much one player can do. In saying that, Jones won't get a shot for the Wallabies until he can fix his hands. He turns the ball over in contact like it's cool, which is a huge shame because he's just about the hardest working lock in the competition.

At blindside or 8 you should throw Nigel Ah-Wong in there, looks like he could be anything.

Yeah, they have potential for sure. Deans is probably thinking that they need to harden up and eliminate the errors which are costing their team. Big futures though.

RE Ah-Wong, you mean throw him in at the Reds for several seasons before he proves himself to be definitively the best option at the Reds, and THEN the Wallabies?

Pyle I'll give you, but Jones is genuinely hard. Besides, hardness has never been an issue for Deans - see Simmons, a soft-as-butter favourite.

And yes, at the Reds or elsewhere.

I've been really impressed by Sam Carter, he has that real pest like game where he flies his body at everything. High workrate and good lineout operator. Very similar to Sam Whitelock and not just aesthetically. Hope he gets a shot sometime in TRC or Spring Tour. Lions series would be too early.

One game, but Cam Crawford did a lot right tonight.
I don't like to place too much hope one one player, but he looked at home at this level.
Who knows about the next. Good luck to him.
Agree with qwerty51 about Browning and Carter too.

Curtis Browning is going to have a long rivalry with Steven Luatua

Both are future 100 cap Test captains imo.

Can we let them play a bit of super rugby first.

As far as future test captains go, I think one to watch is Liam Gill. He has all the qualities of being a good leader and already speaks exceptionally well to the media given his age.

Gill has to maketheteam first. Lots of options that are better or just as good

Gill's played 8 times out of position though. Hard to show your skills as a 7 when playing 6. I agree though he is behind the other two currently. Lets hope they are fighting for the spot for many years to come.

Has anyone mentioned Kyle Godwin? There is some talent there. I hope he doesn't get shunted about and stunted in his progress ala Horne. Horne is coming back to his potential now under a decent game plan and in his proper position.

Godwin is class.

He will stay at 12 at the force now that they have signed Holmes which looks to be his best position. He must be on the radar for the RC and EOYT.

He is only 20 and its scary that he is still growing.

He can be a wallaby great at 12 with the ability to be used as a crash baller but with the skill to be a second ball player and his 1 on 1 defence is great but his cover defence is something else. He was stepped by digby last night which most players have been but he turned chased and made the tackle awsome stuff just like his cover defence against CfS in brissy.

Big things ahead imagine a Godwin/CFS combo at 12/13 at the RWC in 2015 scary stuff.

I think this is more likely for the 2019 RWC.

In 2015 I think there's a very strong chance that we'll be looking at many of the same names that are currently running around.

Lealiifano and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) could be an excellent combination in 2015 if they start playing together now for the Wallabies.

I think Godwin has been absolutely superb this year though.
