Discussion over at the Wallabies Watch and 30 man squad had a few mentions to Kyle Godwin. I off handedly said that he and Tapuai might be the Giteau and Barnes of the future (Solid 12s).

This got me thinking - who are the young Australians (25 or under) who, in four years, would be constant contenders for a Wallaby spot?

Let's go uncapped and under 25 if talking about the future. Quick team off the top of my head.

Sio
?
PAE
Jones
Carter
Browning
? Any other superstar 7's coming through?
Schatz
M Lucas
To'omua
Folau
Godwin
CFS
Kingston
Mogg

At hooker and 7 the big 4 are already capped and not a big fan of the other options at the moment. Not sure who is coming through to fill those spots. Most wingers worth a bar got a run for the Wobs last year so not sure who else there is bar Speight who I left out as I am not sure on age and eligibility.

Edit: added Folau as it will happen whether I like it or not.

I like the look of the team. at 6 i would have cottrell atm he is a great young player and in front of browning.

You could have charles at hooker think he is only 23-24 and has shown alot the last 2 years.

I did consider Charles but it wasn't his best year before the injury. Not sure that I consider him a future wallaby to be honest.

Since this is a future discussion I picked Browning over the other 6 options and generally went with the youngest player of those 'eligible'.

Interestingly you left out Brumbies Pocock and Palmer.

Luke Jones and Hugh Pyle are both awesome.

I have no idea why Deans doesn't want to give them a gig. I rate them higher, or at least on par with, Timani and Douglas, and Simmons (although he's been good recently)

Siliva is a star in the making, one of would have thought.

I reckon Junior Rasolea would make a good fist of 13. He looked good against the Crusaders and will only improve with experience. I don't rate Horne or Inman at all.

Has Siliva played this year? When he was with the Force Academy he looked good but had butter fingers.

Siliva started for the Brumbies a couple of weeks ago, and has come off the bench for most, if not all matches.........

He's also just re-signed with the Brumbies for another couple of years.........

Maybe because they're crucial players in a Rebels team that is a shambles. Doesn't exactly reflect well on their ability to win the big moments and drag the team along with them.

They're playing under a pretty average coaching team in fairness. They've both had strong individual seasons as part of a flailing team. At times there's only so much one player can do. In saying that, Jones won't get a shot for the Wallabies until he can fix his hands. He turns the ball over in contact like it's cool, which is a huge shame because he's just about the hardest working lock in the competition.

At blindside or 8 you should throw Nigel Ah-Wong in there, looks like he could be anything.

I still think Cam Crawford will be very good, especially when he gets an opportunity at 15. Wallaby? well who knows, but he was/is as good at SS level as a lot of current Wobs. He is also 1.93 m (6 ft 4 in) & 98 kg (15 st 6 lb)

edit: probably just put the mock on the guy :(
