Surely there must be some sort of injury cloud over Dennis after Friday's game.

He looked like he'd done his hammy early in the game and kept playing. I thought he was completely cooked when he came off. It was a great effort to keep playing (including the intercept for Foley's try) but it definitely appeared like he was doing himself additional damage.
I think it was a bad cork. Hopefully he will come good.

Calling all Great Rugby Minds:

I'd be fascinated to know - or receive enlightened speculations - as to what a national rugby team that has not played as a unit for 6 months will do for 21 straight days together before a crucial Test and yet with not a single warm-up match vs independent opposition.

After some running around and 'combinations testing' and a bit of opposed training (skillfuly designed no doubt to somehow simulate the Lions in full force), will it be vast numbers of white board sessions perhaps with Kafe-like animated pop-ups? Or multple deep and meaningful video analytics workshops examining 3D renders of every member of the Lions squad? Psych-enhancement sessions: "Playing Tough, Thinking Tough, Acting Tough"? Sessions with Totality Tony re "How I Have Totally Transformed the Wallaby Machine and what that Means for You"? Robbie-only sessions "My Learnings from Years of Crusaders' Title Wins"? Scrivener sessions "Why the Wallabies Do Not Need a Backs Coach"? Folau on "Exploring Career Options Post the Lions Series"?

Look, we all know that the possibilities are endless. It's just that 21 days and not playing a single match could get a bit dry and boring. So perhaps we might have some ideas that could help. This is an "all in" national cause, after all.

Maybe if Robbie changes the plan we could catch them off guard? That's about the only, incredibly unlikely, upside to this.

This is one of the photos posted on the Wallabies facebook.

The interesting bit of insight is the 'Core' meeting at the bottom of the list with Horwill, Moore, Genia and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper).

I guess that gives an indication on who the leaders are within the squad outside of Horwill and Genia.

With cooper leading all australian player stats as number 10 and playing nearly double the games then 2 player all together. I figured out how cooper can squeeze himself in the team. Because its not base on performance over the last year at all.
He should Get one of these

:)

Point I'm not happy that Beale is there bugger all games

Which stats would he be leading?
Apart from charge downs, he's obviously the best in the country at that.

I'd like to see Simmons starting for the combination with Horwill in the first test. After watching the Reds game again I think he really brought the whole package to the table. .

I agree in principle... BUT Reds lineout with these two was dominated by Stormers 2 weeks ago - If these are Australia's premier 2nd rowers will be trouble v Boks @ lineout time.

Question then... Is BIL's lineout stronger than Stormers..

Bekker and Etzebeh are two pretty formidable operators.

Lilo and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) have partnered together at the Brumbies in the past....

And besides, with Horne you'll have a 10/12 that have never played together...

And JOC (James O'Connor) doesn't even know how to play 10 anyways...

So it won't matter....,
Exactly my thinking

RH cotton wool training leaps to mind. And who'd blame him.

Coming back to the lock chat, I am far far from sold on Simmons. So many bad memories of him being a lost sheep at test level. Yes he is playing better at Soup level, but he is far short of selling me. I guess he is another case of Deans favorite, only one Reds fans approve of!

Having said that my preferred options to him are both injured so as you were ;)
