Highly unlikely but check out the rankings if the Aussies get another 16+ point win next week

Worthwhile looking at the inverse as well. On its own, if we lose to South Africa by the same margin we won last time - it is only 0.3 or 0.4 points. In the absence of other results we stay #6 as SA move up to #2. In essence losing away against a highly ranked team has a tempered impact on rankings, winning away against that highly ranked team has an outsize impact.

In terms of rankings, more-or-less that win in J'Bourg can't be taken away from us. Huge impact.

Yeah that injury won't be on the 4-6 week side like when JAS did his jaw. 10-12 you'd have to think so the RC is done.

Awkward timing for the EOYT as well with England being the 2nd Nov which is 11 weeks away. Probably a target for Dylan but could depend on other injuries in the squad.

Has Campo gone a bit quiet?

Wallabies great David Campese says he is “eating humble pie”

Nice start from Campo...

“Don’t expect any comments from me from now on,” Campese said. “I’m very passionate about the game. I say what I say - and I always have - but I think enough is enough. I’m sick of being abused by people.

“I’ve just decided to give everything rugby away from now on.”

Oh, somehow poor Campo.... Digging for compliments and love now.

Someone start a Campo clock before his next comments.

That sucks he’s had a great last 10 months or so - definitely our 2nd best winger currently

Can we finally put to bed this notion that our players aren't fit enough? It's felt like a bit of a crutch former coaches have used when results haven't gone their way. I haven't heard Joe Schmidt mention it once and more often than not we seem to be coming home with a wet sail.
It's almost like a self-fulfilling prophecy - as soon as someone like a coach starts bagging fitness, it becomes an issue.

Love how he said he's giving rugby away.....AFTER milking the Lions tour for every dollar he could... Old man yells at cloud....

Skelton reportedly will fly back to Aus with the team after the second SA test and discussions for his availability in the rest of the TRC are ongoing

Fingers crossed...

Wallabies’ enforcer Will Skelton is delaying his return to Europe in the hope of extending his involvement in The Rugby Championship following Australia’s historic win over South Africa.
Skelton earns his crust playing for leading French club La Rochelle but has been permitted to take a break from club rugby to represent the Wallabies in the TRC after the completion of the British & Irish Lions series.

But it’s still unknown whether he will play the full six rounds of the TRC, which stretches into October, a month after the start of France’s premier domestic competition.

The giant lock wants to stay on after being part of the Wallabies’ epic 38-22 win over the Springboks on the weekend and has already flown with the team to Cape Town for this weekend’s second match against the world champions.

But he may stay with the Wallabies even longer than expected after he confirmed he would fly back to Australia with his teammates after this weekend’s second round.

“I’ll be on the flight home, definitely,” he said.

“We’re having ongoing conversations on what the rest of the TRC looks like, but yeah, we’ll have a think this week and have a chat with the brain’s trust and see where we can get to.”

My heart tells me that he feels he has banked enough coin from playing overseas and he has a deep connection to Australian rugby and will risk his foreign contract to be a part of the resurgence of the Wallabies and help lift the trophy in Sydney in 2027. My head tells me the same thing. He wants in.
Tahs are thin in the second row department!

I am delusional.

If we bloody win the Bledisloe you'd hope RA erects statues of the entire 23 + coaching team at Moore Park.
At the risk of sounding too negative, we have to temper expectations after the victory.

I'm fully expecting us to go down by 30 points this weekend as the Springboks trounce us in a mission to get back the respect of World Rugby.

If we win, I'll be over the moon but if we lose, at least I won't be too sad.

They have to release him for the rugby championship
