Now I'm really starting to think Eddie is still working for the RFU.

Why the fuck is Pietsch called up? Is Uelese not cooked?

Uelese is just out for Wales right? Pietsch (if true) is in for Jorgensen - not that I'm advocating that - but if Uelese is out for the QFs then they'd bring in another hooker for him then.

Reading the Doran article it sounds like Pietsch was to come in but that's now being 'reconsidered', and Ikitau is on his way over to join the BaaBaa's. It probably makes sense that he wants Len to have a run before joining the main squad, when is their next game? Maybe he will wait till after that to call in the replacement.

Jones is an emblem of the clean out that mclennan thinks he is doing or at least claims he is doing. Losing Cooper and Hooper was likely as much about move-forward symbolism as it was about having a 'young squad'.

Even if they lose to Portugal, he isn't going anywhere unless it's of his own volition on account of him not getting the media and fan BJs that he perhaps thought he would get. Even then, 5m (or whatever) is a lot of money to the guy that already flamed out of the other big money rugby HC job.
We ain't losing to Portugal..FFS

Its not like we haven't run a player off the bench with no game time and can only play one position, Id bring Len straight in and either have him at 13 or 23.

Maybe he can't as it's too close to the game.

I meant Uelese is cooked as in he should never play rugby ever again. He has enough CTE for a lifetime.

I mean if we lose to Wales it doesn't even matter who we bring in. We have enough for Portugal............

"Jones was set to turn to a like-for-like replacement in Dylan Pietsch but despite the winger being told to pack his bags and cross the English Channel, The Roar has been told the Wallabies boss has changed his mind and will reconsider Jorgensen’s replacement".

I wouldn’t be surprised if that is the reason they are reconsidering Pietsch, but I doubt they would put him straight into the 23, Eddie will have already selected that for Wales and I doubt Jorgo was in it.

Article also says Foley is still in Europe.

Yes that’s what was on The Roar. Despite that I wouldn’t say Jorgo and Pietsch are like for like. No offence to Pietsch’s skills on the sting but he doesn’t have anywhere near the skill set that Jorgo has as a running fullback. Eddie is a dreamer if he thinks that!!

Yeah, who knows! Wait and see I guess. It probably won't make a lick of difference to the most important game for rest of our world cup this Monday so it's not really that important.

Curiosity has gotten the best of me. Is anyone able to name a starting 15 of Australians that are representing other nations at this World Cup?
  1. Feao Fotuaika (Tonga)
  2. Paul Alo-Emile (Samoa) - not really a hooker
  3. Michael Ala'alatoa (Samoa)
  4. Jack Cornelsen (Japan)
  5. Adam Coleman (Tonga)
  6. Ben Gunter (Japan)
  7. Richard Hardwick (Namibia)
  8. Jack Dempsey (Scotland)
  9. ?
  10. Christian Leali'ifano (Samoa)
  11. Mack Hansen (Ireland)
  12. Sione Tuipulotu (Scotland)
