I’ve always said I don’t see Jones going past the Lions 2025 to give a coach 2 years into a WC in 27 but if we go out in the pools is he gone?
Does Waugh have it in him?
Financially I don't see how this is possible. You'd need Jones to resign.

No there aren't. I'm probably the most pro Eddie guy here and even I can admit it's a royal fuck upI can't be bothered scrolling through the last 30 pages. But there are plenty of people who still prefer him over Rennie and can't see through his bs.
For me it’s more likely to be McKellar, Cron or Coleman in terms of coaches developing. Kiss is what he is and probably a steady set of hands but that’s about it.I think it comes down to who the alternatives are - none of the Super coaches fit the bill, maybe Kiss in a couple of years time, but right now I can't think of a coach worldwide who might be a genuine candidate.
Pretty sure everyone here can agree that he has not made the best decisions with this group of players, but the reality is, we don't have good enough players. A good game plan will only get you so far.Nope, because we stlll have people backing this clown and don't see through his bs.

That's harsh on the forwards TT. Some of the turnovers at the ruck were because the ball carrier got himself isolated, but most were because of very marginal refereeing of the breakdown. In any other game I've seen over the past couple of years, some of those turnovers would not have been awarded and others would have been penalties to the Wallabies for hands on the ground by the pilferer.I don’t care how big the forwards are, their work around the rucks was abysmal. Players going into contact by themselves with other players far more interested in standing off than getting tight and keeping the Fijians from Pilfering every single ruck
Fiji were clearing out rucks so much more efficiently then we were though, and that's a problem because Wales are accurate in that areaThat's harsh on the forwards TT. What was that analytics thing Ben Darwin does, "doesnt matter so much how good individuals are, all about the amount of time spent playing together" or something? Wobs should have gone with front row of Slipper, Lonergan and AA + Frost paired with Darcy Swain, Samu and Valetini, Lonergan at 9,Responsible for fast-tracking all ACT Brumbies players directly into the Wallabies. Many a true word spoken in jest DP.
So what is our coached approach at the breakdown?Fiji were clearing out rucks so much more efficiently then we were though, and that's a problem because Wales are accurate in that area
Wouldn't have done any worse, at least. What was that analytics thing Ben Darwin does, "doesnt matter so much how good individuals are, all about the amount of time spent playing together" or something? The cheering that could be heard from the other side of the planet when EJ (Eddie Jones) was sacked by England might have been a clue for the blokes.I think Rugby Australia accurately saw a Rennie coached team getting comfortable bundled out in the Semis or losing a tight QF. Whether through delusion or dreams of overperformance, they saw RSA v Japan at RWC 15 and Eng v NZ at RWC 19 and decided that was what was needed to have a genuine shot at winning the cup.
What's happened in the interim has been a chaotic mess. I have no doubt that results will trend upwards towards '27, but what can only be described as theory crafting from EJ (Eddie Jones) (Eddie Jones) has left the team devoid of leadership and experience in key areas, and has substantial double standards in the treatment of players in terms of return from injury and management of current injury.
Questions will need to be asked and answered, particularly if a handful of his "bold" picks (e.g. Gordon, T Hooper etc.) return to Super Rugby devoid of the confidence and form that saw them achieve wider selection in the first place.
It is mildly amusing that the worst possible outcome could have resulted from the unwillingness to accept a mediocre finish.
Personally, I wouldn't go quite that far, but I do like it.What was that analytics thing Ben Darwin does, "doesnt matter so much how good individuals are, all about the amount of time spent playing together" or something? Do you really believe the Wallabies were a chance to win this world cup? With Rennie or Jones, and less then 40% win ratio over 8 years? I think Jones knew that and has gone with a squad for the future, rightly or wrongly ridden the Wallabies chances off for this world cup and accepted he will get all the heat from the media by picking a young squad.Eddie Jones was happy with a 20 point win over Georgia. How can anyside win a world cup when they're satisfied with those sorts of performances.
You think players are heading to Japan and the USA to player a higher level of rugby than played in AUS?Aus rugby is getting close to a position where, like in soccer, players essentially openly state that they hope to get out of Australia to play at a decent level.
No. Where did I say that? You think players are heading to Japan and the USA to player a higher level of rugby than played in AUS?
