This belongs in the match thread, just FYI.

True he did well, but was still pretty young when he switched . …plus it wasn’t the professional area back then in the early 90s

he also dropped to 5th grade club rugby to learn his craft lol .. I doubt many modern players would be willing to do that
This is not a case for players switching to the front row late in their career, more just a bit of a trivia from even more the amateur era.

Jon White was a second rower at school and actually made his debut for the Wallabies (v NZ) in the row. On the subsequent tour due to an injury he took one for the team and jumped into loose head prop. And stayed there forever, becoming a Wallaby Hall of Famer.

It's a bonus, in addition to contract salary and match payments. It'll cost Rugby Australia around 6 million if we win (though they will be insured against it and that's before the obvious financial benifits of winning).
175 x 23 = 4m + a bit or is the 175 on top of semi $$$?

If they miraculously pulled a RWC win off then the players would have earned every cent of the bonus. The money it would bring in and swell of public support would considerably outweigh the cost of bonus payments. Plus it’s like 99% of high end jobs, there is performance bonuses.

At this point it should honestly be no contact between games. Calf probably didn’t blow out due to contact but this is kind of wild to have so many training injuries again
I remember all you guys blasting Rennie for his training intensity, it was all Dave's fault, the injuries. It clearly wasn't, it's just your blokes are made of teflon.
