So why did McLennan and Waugh miss their chance on snapping up the ever charismatic, youthful & enthusiastic Razor earlier this year? Now Rugby Australia are stuck with a miserly 63 year old to provide the gee-ups for the next 6 years... excellent haha.

Ahh yes, I'm sure that Robertson, the overwhelming favourite for the All Blacks job, would have accepted an offer from Rugby Australia if only they'd made it slightly before NZRU offered him the job.

Surely this is Vunivalu's last chance to impress during TRC and if he does nothing then out of the World Cup squad.
He is still being picked on potential and I agree that there is still that very slim possibility that if you put him outside Quade, Kerevi and Ikitau he could be dominant at the next level

Said it yesterday that he would be my pick. Big fast defensive wall of a human. He has a simple but effective play style I could see transitioning easily.
On that list of the other guys.
Gagai - old now even though playing pretty well. Not worth it.
Manu - a genuine freak but also the Kiwis best player and would cost as much as Joseph
Haas - maybe. A lot of money and a lot of risk bringing a guy who can only be a forward.
Crichton - I’d love to see him in Rugby.

You‘re either paying a premium for NRL players for the marketing boost they bring, or you’re paying a premium for young players who have high ceilings for potential.
Ideally, the player ticks both those boxes. In that sense; i’m not sure guys like Gagai tick that box, and Crichton has probably missed that window to swap also. Haas certainly does, although i don’t like what he represents for some of his off-field indiscretions.

Although if Philthy wants to open a Western Sydney Academy and connect with the Polynesian community and younger audiences on alternate platforms (like Twitch) I wouldn't be opposed at him throwing a bone to Luai and To'o.

He’d probably be a very good 12. I don’t really care about the social stuff that has everyone bothered. Yeah he Carries on but at least he does it win or loss. I remember Quade having a few turd moments.
Wouldn’t bother with him though. Penrith probably have 10 guys in their system I’d rather get first.
