Have we allocated all tests to a venue this year? The three Pom tests have been but have the RC ones been assigned? Going to be some interesting announcements tomorrow

Well now we know. Can’t say I’m a fan of Suncorp (or even Metricon) not getting a RC game, but they persist with Melbourne (on a bloody Thursday) after a turnout of 30k across the three days of super round…

I don’t mind the idea of giving Adelaide a crack though

Melbourne doesn't get an England test match.

Test matches this year:

Brisbane - 1
Melbourne - 1
Adelaide - 1
Perth - 1
Sydney - 2

Suncorp (and even Metricon) have had more then their fair share of test matches in the past 2 years, and Brisbane is also getting a England test, it’s time fans elsewhere in the country get the opportunity. Even as much as I appreciate the wallabies win % at Suncorp.

All Black test in Melbourne is a legacy contractural agreement, it is for the 2020 test match that was supposed to be played there that year.

My mistake, I got allocations of the English tests mixed up - thought Melbourne was getting one, not Sydney. I’m still not sure about a Thursday game, but can understand that it’s better than directly competing with an AFL final

Why are we playing twice in Argentina but two SA matches here? Is this somehow evening it out for COVID matches?

I imagine it’s to reduce the travel burden on teams in the post-covid era.

It’s easier to travel to Argentina for 2 weeks, then it is to do 1 week Argentina, 1 week South Africa. Not to mention less risky.

Tupou gone for the rest of Super Rugby and the potential that Harry Johnson-Holmes' knee injury is serious is a worry for the July tests.

When is Allan Ala'alatoa due back?

Wallabies vs South Africa on 3 Sep set to take place at the new Sydney Football Stadium, but NRL have won the race to be the first event played there. Roosters vs Rabbitohs will be played on 2 Sep.
