Wallabies 2021

Ryan Lonergan is on call if Gordon can’t get fit.

No news on Perese so hopefully was nothing serious

No news on who would come in if (when) Swinton suspended

Yes thought Rennie's comments about Swinton were very, very optimistic. Maybe if it was Lolesio with a clean slate who accidentally touched someone's head but not Swinton with his rap sheet.

If Swinton gets 6 games then he will be able to play the 2nd half of the RC. If not he could miss half of Super Rugby next in 2022

No often we disagree BR but the closet Kuridrani should ever get to a Wallabies squad is the front row as a spectator.

We have posters lamenting the lack of size in the centres. TK is about the only one with a good bit of size and ability to fill that role, if deemed important. Not in the squad so Rennie and Co must be satisfied with whom they've got.

I read an article recently about how WC winning teams always/almost always had an average age of 27/28.

When I read it my immediate reaction was that this WC was one cycle too early for our current group.

But, on reflection and looking at the guys who I think are likely to feature, we’ll be pretty close to the mark.

Everyone else might as well just hand Bill over to us now. :)

Hodge and To'omua are very lucky to get selected based on form.

If I was ikitau I would be upset...same as Fergus Lee-Warner.

Was Anstee available for selection? Though he might be a good development player

You do realise Ikitau is in the squad. And you’re right Hodge has been invisible on the field the last 8 weeks

Anstee can’t even make the Force starting squad. Agree he’s got some potential but behind several others not selected FLW (Fergus Lee-Warner), Wright, ASY (Angus Scott-Young)

If memory serves my right, wasn’t Fergus-Lee Warner off the bench as much as he started with the Force? Even more so with Uru at the Reds.

I get the appeal in both these guys, but if they’re going to be Wallaby squad members I feel we should expect them to demand first choice selection at Super level first.

Fair enough

Yes, my apologies. I did check and he started all 5 TT games. Should have checked before I posted.

FLW (Fergus Lee-Warner) and Robertson the two hardest done by

Kellaway and for me Sio the luckiest. Kellaway might be last man standing with all the outside back injuries but Sio hasn’t been playing as good as Robertson.

I wonder if FLW (Fergus Lee-Warner) would come into squad if Swinton is suspended

4 players in the squad who have all committed to leaving aus yet we refuse to selected the Gitau law players or the extra 2.
I did find that a bit odd. Not so much not picking the OS players - I’m good with that - but why not pick the guys who are staying.
