Precisely. Its not his ability to tackle. Its his ability to read attacking patterns that don't always come from the simple, clean breakdown, that you get in League. However, he's been playing Rugby for several years now, so it would require a particularly skilled attacking combination to be able to get through him.

Barnes is simply not in the same league as O'Connor is in attack, though defensively he has the wood on O'Connor, simply because he's far more of an 'offensive' defender. Cooper is the problem./ Sure he can be hidden in defence, but who comes into the line for him? Ioane?

Defensively, Ioane at 10, and Beiber at 12 could work, though I don't know how long Diggers' shoulders would last with that arrangement. However, it would also leave Quade out the back, ready for a rapid counter-attack as he wouldn't be buried at the bottom of a ruck.
So SBW is a worry cos he MIGHT make a wrong read in test footie, despite him defending strongly in all other games.
And we can hide QC (Quade Cooper) who refuses to tackle & it'll be OK?

I like to watch, all we're doing is analysing possible weaknesses in SBW's game that may be able to be exploited. You man love is getting in the way here. Please stop shouting down anyone who dares to criticise him. :)

I think that was aimed at me. I was confused, I thought he was an Aussie.

You became collateral damage. Perhaps I should continue, so I can claim the number 1 position in next year's boardies :p

All this talk of SBW, but I've become increasingly worried about Nonu's improved passing game too recently. His cut-out balls come fast & flat - and he's grown in terms of his on-field awareness, and fully understands the communication issues defenses have with his presence.

He will no doubt continue to grow and might even sort out his discipline issues, so will Sonny...And we're still sat here figuring out combinations!

Anyway, this years Tri-Nations will be pivotal in gauging how to contain opposing center combinations rather than copy and pasting dream teams from current Super XV stock 7 rounds deep. A point thats often overlooked while looking at individuals is the team cohesion/communication & fluidity when you put all these studs in one jersey too.

Personally I would relish the opportunity at being in charge of defending SBW or Nonu. I would like to hope that whoever is picked in Wallaby gold will be too!
