Anyone made sense of the Div 2 & 3 business? It's like a conference setup, depending on which round bracket you are at.

Word has it 3 Rebels played in the Moorabin V Box Hill trial on this weekend which was a draw.

Have BH picked up or Moorabin dropped off?

Pat, Kimani and James King all played. It was a rolling 1st/2nd grade match with both teams not putting out a full strength team IIRC. Last quarter was probably the closest to the full strength sides and it was pretty even.

How'd King go? He was one of the Rebels' cleverest buys and it's a shame they haven't seen that rewarded.

Who won the club 7s? In other 7s news, there's the school 7s this weekend featuring around double as many schools as usual.

Also, Prems kicks off this weekend. It's a big one.

Moorabbin killed Melbourne in the final of the 7s. They looked the goods all day.

Also has anyone seen this?

I don't understand what this show is. I get it's a Vic rugby show running on a community TV station but I know nothing about the format, the time it's showing, nor do I really understand community TV itself.

Monday 8:30pm is the timeslot I believe.

This was on the Power House website:
The VRU and ARU are actively supporting the development of the new TV show to be called "Rugby Time 2013 Dewar Shield".
Kicking off with the Senior Premiere 2 game Moorabbin vs Melbourne Unicorns at 1pm, and the Senior Premiere 1 game at 310pm also Moorabbin vs Melbourne Unicorns as the two finalists from 2012 meet again and go head to head. Join us on Saturday 20th April 2013, and stay in the loop here for details on the very first television broadcast of Rugby Time on Channel C31 coming soon...

By the sounds of it they will show the game of the week live, then doing a highlights show on a Monday night.

Interesting and ambitious, but I still feel the choice of medium and promotion method are making it head towards an early grave.

I reckon it'll be good, they do it in Canberra and get each club's players and coaches on there during the season for a chat, show some highlights etc..

Big V Bball, for example, does a similar show but through Youtube.

I think that'd make more sense and be more cost effective then a live stream.

Tips bolded, what do we think?

I think it's the year Uni finally get good again and Souths have slowly been dropping in form over the last couple of years.

As for Moorabbin, I think they've had a large player turnover since last year so we'll see.

Are you going to any of the games?

Kevin0 did you find a new club?
Training with Powerhouse, Division 4 for now. got the bye round 1.

Will head down and watch as the games are only 5 minute drive away.

Agree with all except Melbourne Uni. Interesting to see how many Rebels run out in club colors this weekend. Having the bye I would like to see most of the guys from the bench get some game time and the extended squad.
