Vintage Reds vs Tonga charity appeal match

This is fantastic. What a great initiative. Interesting the precipitous drop off after stoping professional training. Moore & Higgers aren't that old but they don't have it aha. Moore has been bowled over a few times in the first 10.

Moore ended up playing QPR last year too, so he really shouldn't be that far passed it. Before the game I thought he might have been a somewhat legitimate option if there were anymore hooker injuries for the reds but it's clearly not even worth considering.

Mowen on the other hand still looks sharp as. Criminal he retired when he did.

But an absolutely fantastic guy to have in the coaching ranks - his professionalism and smarts around lineout in particular are excellent assets to be passing on.

Moore and Higgers both only officially retired in September 2021.

Probably still sore from their final games!

I know Moore put in a lot of extra work to get himself fit for the Red Heavies in 2021. Cycling to and from work and training with team for a number of weeks before even taking the field. I don't reckon he went back to that regime for this game.
