If there's an op or admin or tech watching the forum... can we get the VRU teams (Or at least the Dewar Shield teams) included in the drop down boxes for registration? I'll happily assist in gathering them!

As I said, sincerely would like to help - wearing my school teacher/journo hat- I wouldn't make a suggestion unless I could somehow help get it off the ground... What resolution is best, and how can I deliver them?

DW, I'll be able to grab them off their websites mostly. the southern Pirates logo is just a rejigged new england patriots logo anyway. doesn't matter what resolution or format, as long as they're greater than 40/40 px.

Just have to see if Moses or Gagger wants them, no pointin doing it if they won't use it.

Hey Paul Roberton and RF,
We'll definitely stick up the logos for VIC premiership level rugby (one comp only, to bring it in line with NSW, and QLD). We should also add the WA comp if someone has time.

PR, if you can list the official competition name along with the team names and their websites that would be a big help in collating the information. Even better, if you want to stick an article in our Ruggapedia by adding a thread here with this information about the competition that would be superb. I'm sure there are many people who are genuinely interested in the Vic club scene, I know I'd like to know more about it.

RF has a great skill in being able to make these small logos legible through the black art known as vector graphics, so as he's up for it we really appreciate his work here.

also notice with the euro club drop downs that they don't default go to nothing moses, they go to the first alphebetically listed club.

Are you up for putting together logos for the three comps in addition to the teams? With the team logos, the filenames need to be exactly as listed below (keep the spaces and capitals, then add .png to the end).

think they're all right but not sure, might replace uni with the university crest.

They are as accurate as any logos you are going to find.

By Fitzroy you mean Footscray. Perhaps you could pretty up that logo with some Vector graphics because that's just awful.

As for Uni the "m" is a symbol they seem to plaster over all their sporting teams.

That's all I have to say, perhaps now with a bit more professionalism coming into the comp we'll see some better branding.

club rugby should stick to badges and crests. accentuate history and tradition, even if none exists.

Some of the clubs have a pretty long history. Melb/Melb Uni are both 102 years old.

There are some youngins like Souths though.

Sorry for being tardy with my response, I was up late/early this morning! I'll happily write up articles for the wiki on the Dewar Shield (that's the trophy for the premier division here in Vic) and on the clubs in that competition (school teacher on holiday!) Thanks for moving so quickly!

Paul, I believe (and I may be wrong) that Dewar Shield is simply the trophy given to the Premier Division 1 in Victoria rather than the name of Premier Division.

As such I don't think it would be appropriate to refer to the whole comp as Dewar Shield.
