Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

A couple of years ago the Qld u18 team played Melb Rebels. Flew out of Brisbane, played then flew home in one day.
Other than Perth, this cold occur for each state to keep costs down.

Remarkably this exact thing happened just a couple of weeks ago!

The plan come October/Nov for the U19s (lead up to next years 20s) is for all the states to play each other over approx 5 weeks. This enables all the selectors to see boys play against each other prior to them picking boys for camps in 2023. (This was supposed to happen last year but covid...)

Coach Grey has some tough decisions to make if the team has not already been announced. It does makes it easier when a lot of the players will be returning next year so not the end of the road for U 20s and team selection. I think he will make changes in the forwards to ensure the set piece is more reliable. Difficult to compare the scrums but the game against Fiji showed the line out capabilities across the squad.
