Awesome win. I have to say I started skipping large chunks as I thought we were absolutely no hope at 14-0. Can't say I managed to watch too much indepth but surely Babyboks must be kicking themselves with that loss. To end up dominating that game in a very hostile environment is impressive. Our pilferers kept us in the game in the first half when we had no scrum no tackling and no attack.

Can't wait to see Doyle in Super.

lol didn't realise that Foote was the boks HC. Quite nice for once supporting a game where the shoe is on the other...foote.

Doyle is THAT GUY. I know it's a different level to Super Rugby but he is playing at this level what people keep saying Tom Hooper could be if it clicked. The Tahs really have one in this bloke.

With so many changes leading into to the game it's a great sign for the squad with the results so far. We've had WC campaigns derailed in the last couple of years when a couple of guys have gone down with injury. This group is showing some real depth of starting calibre players.

Damn, didn't realise that Trevor King is in his third season. Impressive.

I often find the u20s a pretty good indication of future success. We had a good year in 2023 (was better than the 5th place finish indicated). A quick scan of that team list shows that a large amount of players are bona fide super players only 2 years later: Lyangh, Henry O'Donnell, Lancaster, Talatania, De Lutiis and Pearce.

Doyle will very much be there, no doubt. Stood out against SA and NZ. He's a lock too so no threat from league just gotta keep him taking a gazillon yen which is almost guaranteed.

Thought Mangelsdorf went well too and Cleverley at 6 as well.

Forgive me because I wasn't following too closely but was it our 10 or replacement 10 who has a brilliant boot on him? Was getting great clearance kicks.

Prass and Fowler both have big boots on them but the taller guy is prass and Fowler a smaller Lynagh type build.

Mangelsdorf and Cleverley were very good. Work horses in close. You need guys like Mangelsdorf to do the tough work like a Ryan Smith at the Reds to allow others space to create.

At this stage Doyle is staying put. Played in the Tahs pre season trials and with these showings I hope they are prepping an extension/upgrade to whatever deal he's on now.

Impressive and I am a fan. Although he didn't have a happy game last night on the tighthead side and struggled against a strong saffa scrum. Seems to be better at LHP.

Both good clearance kickers, as Ghost said. Prass probably a bit longer.

From the first two games, neither of the 10s really nailed it when in the starting jersey, though, IMO.

Fowler seemed to get the backline going more when subbed on last night. .. However, the Aussie team did their best work in the second half of both matches.

I haven't seen the game but Prass has a massive boot. I can see why he was picked to try to pin their back 3 into the corners.
King looks like he can play both sides but looks better suited to LHP. It makes sense from a Reds POV as he'll be stuck behind Nonngorr and De Luttis at THP.
Any chance we can get those young front rowers playing in France (particularly Leota at THP) to come into the U20 WC frame? It is in Italy after all. Or is it impossible due to them being in the French system?

Fair assessment. There's also Joe Dillon who was with the side last year out of the Brums. Probably a smaller boot than the others but a better creator and ball player. Wouldn't be surprised to see him get a start in Game 3.

Only downside from NZ's game was the scrum. Few times it was on skates. Don't know if that poor setting, or just a much better Argie pack?
