Do the Waratahs 19+ Academy selectors speak with the NSW U19 Waratahs Coaches? The player - referred to above - started all 5 Super U19 games, out of his depth. Seems the Waratahs Academy weren't impressed as they haven't added him, plus not selected in the Australia U20s prelim squad of 45 [even though the NSW coach 1st choice U19 Waratah #7].Jeez I think this all a bit hard on the Tahs. Both their locks dropped the ball over the line!!! They had three tries not allowed as held up. The Brumbies two first half tries were against the run of play. The Tahs left a lot of points out there. Not for one second do I say the Brumbies did not deserve to win - they really did. They improved their scrum from the first game and made an absolute mess of the Tahs lineout maul. And their defence was amazing. That said the Tahs defence was very good as well. I think with the exception of one particular player - who has been identified elsewhere here - the Tahs players acquitted themselves well. Brumbies just too good. But the Tahs were really good as well.
I think you need to consider the other 10 - Super Rugby or injured and the numbers becomesBrumbies 18

The best U20 7 eligible in NSW would be Durbridge from the 18s IMO but he wasn't available/selected through what may have been the HSC
Maybe a couple of inches (and KGs) too short sadly - get away with at CAS / GPS level, but not at U20s++ . Terrific player at Barker I agree, but expect size may limit him [in the backrow] IMO.No. Tom Livingstone.
Young Rebel Ramsey Sefo has been added to the squad. Not sure who has dropped out

What Club? - will go and watch him next year....must have grown since his Barker days. He's literally 6 foot and 95 kgs... He is one of the biggest 7's in Colts.

West Harbour has appointed Dan Parks as the 1st Grade Attack Coach for the 2024 seasonSydney Uni parting ways with Dan Parks, or is he moving up the chain? They have an 'expressions of interest' for SUFC Colts Coaching Staff.
Wonder who Waratahs appoint as their NSW U19 Coach next season - given the success of the NSW U16 and U18 this year, perhaps one of them moves up an age group [or three].West Harbour has appointed Dan Parks as the 1st Grade Attack Coach for the 2024 season

Hahaha - oxymoron indeed (maybe they missed out the word 'kicking'?); but on a serious note, it will be interesting to see how Colts [and Grade] Coaches approach attack [and defence] with the new tackle height rule changes, and the mandate to enforce the 'existing law preventing a ball carrier from “dipping” into a tackle' - I can't find that law, but I only did a very quick search of the existing laws.Attack? Dan Parks? Somebodies wires are crossed.

I wonder if refs spend so much time on this specific area, teams can game offside lines etc......interesting times.
