OleMan Knox 16As are shaping up to be a really strong team this season so do not discount. Their forward pack was dominant at Camden the other week, one of their Props played Waratahs U15s I believe, and it shows. Not just strong in the scrum, but also quick around the field and really aggressive at the breakdown. The backline was just as dangerous with their #10. I’m told one of the Wingers and the Fly Half both played in the Waratahs Rugby 7s squad this year, which seem to give the team a lot of confidence. I think Round 1 is Knox vs Barker on May 17th which should be a cracker start to the season with rep players on both sides of the 16s, it’s going to be a fast, physical game.

Have heard very good things about the New side this year. None of their boys are playing up (correct me if I'm wrong) and they have a few new players. They certainly will finish higher on the ladder than they did last year and will be a team to look out for.

Knox also have a trial against Newington on the 26th April. Will be the first proper trial for the Newington boys so should be a good test for them.
Not sure if Knox will have full team due to school holidays and some boarder's may be on leave. Nevertheless agreed a good test for both sides.

Knox outclassed Newington 6 tries to 3, with the Knox fly half bagging 2 of his own. Despite the penalties favouring Newington and their clear size advantage, Knox held strong and took the win. Good performances from both the Prop and Fly Half, who stood out even more given they were supported by a mix of Knox A & B players but overall good game.
