Robinson is by far our most consistent player. He is just about the only one that is currently assured of selection, with maybe Smith.

naza the amount of times he is passing don't go in front of the man or he isn't there to pass the ball is astonishing. his job is the link the backs and forwards. to get the ball going. he doesn't do that. simple. the guy is a joke.

Er, his passing was fantastic yet again, and he was everywhere in support, and did remarkably well considering the NZ ruck dominance. We need more guys like Burgess. The guy is a warrior and has no fear. He doesn't wilt under pressure like Giteau, O'Connor, Sharpe, etc

If you were to criticise him about something tonight, it'd be the box kicking but that's obviously the moronic Deans tactic.

Anyway, I've had enough with the Burgess bashing. Some folks on here are just haters and blinded to the truth of the matter.

i'm not saying he doesn't support or doesn't play with heart. i'm saying he doesn't do his JOB.

Given the amount of posters on here who bagged Gregan, an all time great, for years, I reckon I can pretty much write off most people on here when it comes to their judgement of halfbacks. They seem to be oblivious Giteau's deficiencies.

Burgess helps you win. He gets the ball out quickly, he's got a great running game, is a phenomenal athlete, is tough & fearless. He's amazing in defence, support and covering and all the little 2 percenters but also injects some genuine x-factor. He has a great attitude and doesn't shirk the work on or off the field. I don't see how anyone can argue we're better off without him.

I don't mind Burgess, great defender and the occasional dart from scrumbase is brilliant. Tonight was actually the best he has played for a while, but... to me Genia has a quicker, more direct and accurate pass , and that is the most important tool of trade for a halfback. He is also a good defender and may be a better kicker. Given there is little left to play for this season, might as well give him a couple of starts to see whether he is up to it.

Never really been sold on Gits at 10 either.

I thought Burgess wasn't too bad, but hardly the one-man rugby team Naza sees. Nonetheless, for the reasons stated by others already, give Genia a crack. I think he definitely passes sharper, and from what I remember of the S14 defends well. FFS, why not? What have we got to lose to see how he goes?
Oh yes, points. Struggling to really see who deserves them but...

genia made horrible choices when he was on, he throw away two overlaps by running at an angle and went blindside when he should have gone open in the last five. his passing is fast but it has rarely been infront of the man, its right to him and means we have no go forward. i like him but he aint the messiah! Burgo deserves credit for his performance last night, the 9 jersey is his, he had a dodgy forward pack and was getting the ball out of rucks we were being decimated in, he deserves credit.

I all honesty I couldn't give a point to any back after the disregard they showed to the forwards last night. Nothing more than a bunch of non committed schoolgirls on a party night out.
