I organised the poll last year and will do it again (unless Gagger, Scarf or Moses have other plans). Criteria is must have played a minimum of 3 tests in the position nominated (e.g. You can't nominate Carl Hayman as THP as he hasn't played test rugby this year).

Keep it to tight 5 on this thread please. Nominations to close on Saturday December 5 at 10pm AEDT.

That's fine Disco, I'll organise them into positions when I do the poll.

I know Bakkies / Matfield are almost a group booking, but BBBT gives you grunt, without the bin-factor with Bakkies. But a close call. Woodcock too would be close. Haven't watched enough NH stuff to comment on POC or DOC as options.

Chuck in Jerry Flannery as a hooker nomination, too.

DOC was top-notch on Saturday, but not enough for the nomination; the same applies to BBBT in large part, and Matfield got badly done against France and Ireland.

So, for the second rows:

4, Bakkies Botha
5, POC.

Been thinking about this overnight, and my front five, across the 6N, 3N and EOYT is:

1. Benn Robinson
2. Jerry Flannery (Moore's a better scrummager, but given Fla's just back from injury, how he played against SA, and the lineout, he - barely - pips Moore for me).
3. Castrogiovanni. Poor 6N, but right back to full form and fitness now.
4. Bakkies Botha
5. POC.

TPN for hooker. What about that first half in Brisbane? Its the best I've seen any hooker play. He was the dominant player on the field. Moore starts for the Wallabies but I think that is purely because Moore wouldn't be as good as a bench player. Given both of them are going to get about half a game, that means TPN has to start from the bench.

Moore is better than Flannery by quite a margin (Sean Fitzpatrick rates Moore the best). Wallaby lineout was outstanding when Vickerman or Sharpe were around and Moore the thrower.

TPN would be easily the best around if his lineout throwing was a little better. Top 5 hookers in world rugby for me are (in no particular order):

1. BdP
2. Hore
3. Moore
4. TPN
5. Servat

It looks like everyone is on the same wavelength or similar in regards to T5 players as only about 3 or 4 for each position have been mentioned. From now on just nominate any new player who hasn't been mentioned with the number shirt they wear and country in brackets....

Nominations close in less than 24 hours. If no more nominations come before 6pm AEDT I will endeavour to get the poll up early (I have a wedding to attend tomorrow that I forgot about).
