I organised the poll last year and will do it again (unless Gagger, Scarf or Moses have other plans). Criteria is must have played a minimum of 3 tests in the position nominated (e.g. You can't nominate Chris Latham at fullback as he hasn't played test rugby this year).

Keep it to outside backs on this thread please. Nominations to close on Saturday December 5 at 10pm AEDT.

11 Habana
13 BOD
14 Sivivatu - I think he really plays 11 but he was good enough to be either!
15 Kearney - but Mils close.

Other than the fact there are none of 'world class' at the moment.
11: Hynes
13: AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
14: Sivivatu
15: Muliena

Even the Welsh fans reckon Ikkul has been poor enough this year, and outshone by his Ospreys team-mate Tommy Bowe.

So:

11 Habana
13 BOD
14 Tommy Bowe
15 Kearney

Cutter

Nicholas Shehadie (39)
Habana hasn't had a vintage year.

Heymans (for his try against the ABs at home even if he just ate pies for the rest of the year)
Lee Byrne
Conrad Smith - has genuinely impressed me
AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) - in the Tri-Nations he was our best back playing in a variety of positions.

DPK

Peter Sullivan (51)
11. Cedric Heymans
13. Conrad Smith (although Jaque Fourie was impressive on occasion)
14. Sitiveni Sivivatu
15. Rob Kearney

11 Habana i guess
13 Conrad Smith (most under-rated player in the world, IMO best outside centre around at the moment, BOD close second)
14 Sivivatu
15 Kearney

Cutter

Only nominations at the moment. The vote comes later.

Can someone please explain why they have chosen Habana? He has underwhelmed this season.

You know, on balance, I've come around to that view.

So, for me, scratch Habana at 11, and put in Ikkul Shane instead.

There's tidy, mun. :thumb

Well, I voted for him because no-one really overwhelmed in that position that I saw. I admit, I see less NH stuff than others, and apologise for that shortcoming, but I would have Habana every day of the week. Speed kills...and speed that can tackle kills more.
And Cutter, I get the nomination process, just couldn't ignore 7 outside backs being picked. Sorry for being flippant.

i nominated habana for his try saving tackles in the tri-nations. The one on turner was spectacular. Plus their was a few more. Also I think im in the same boat as cyclopath, dont get exposed too muchh NH action so was hard to nominate anyone else. Also the fact that if i picked a world team habana would be on it for his sheer speed and excitement. He may not be playing his best lately but I thought he played a big part in winning the tri-nations.
