Unfortunately too much focus on Marshall - just hope the Tahs pressure the shit out of the bloke so his baptism of fire is tough - welcome to real rugby

Bernard Foley will start opposite rugby convert Benji Marshall when the former rugby league legend makes his Australian rugby debut tomorrow night at Allianz Stadium, kick off 7.40pm.

NSW newcomers Kurtley Beale (fullback), Nick Phipps (scrumhalf), Jonno Lance (centre) and Matt Carraro (wing) will also take the field, with the team captained by Dave Dennis.

With the game not televised live, the only way to be a part of the action is to get down to Allianz Stadium tomorrow evening, kick off 7.40pm. Entry for 2014 Waratahs members is FREE, otherwise tickets are priced from just $20 for adults and $10 for concessions are available online now.

Lee, or anyone else in the know, can we expect to see Potgeiter in this game or will he be slowly integrated? He is coming off a year of non stop rugby so a few weeks rest would be a prudent decision.

Reports are that he will get some time next week, that he's resting some "niggles" from his Japan sojourn this week.

Personally I would like to see Douglas and Skelton start against the Force with Potgeiter coming on for twenty from the bench. Its a long comp and resting Potgeiter now could have real advantages for the back end of the season.

#1 Tah

Mitchell Chapman has injured his ankle in training and is expected to miss at least this trial, possibly a whole lot more. On the bright side, he can spend a lot more time with his newborn daughter.

This does mean that Jacques Pottgiter will get more game time. From talking to him and a few of the other players, this is exactly what he wants. He got off the plane last Friday morning and drove straight down to Albury where he played some minutes. I've heard that he is an absolute machine in the gym too.

The Waratahs are playing more of their 'heavyweights' than the Blues are.

The Blues are missing Woodcock, Mealamu, Faumuina, Weepu, Halai, Nonu, Luatua, plus Kaino, who is returning from Japan, and Cullum Retallick who is out for the season.

And Piatau and F. Saili are on the bench, as is Noakes who is likely to start in Rd. 1 at first-five.

The Tahs have not named their reserves but they ar not starting Folau, Ashley-Cooper, Hooper, Potgieter, Kepu, the injured Chapman—and Crawford, who hasn't done as much opposed training as the others have, but may still be on the bench.

Bernard Foley will take the kicks at goal for the Tahs.
