Trial Match - Waratahs v Brumbies at Bowral

COVID intervention allowing, this match is on at the end of the week.

I am assuming very few of last years EOYT players will take part, so it will be interesting to see how the sides fare.

FWIW, this is my tip for the starting Brumbies side :

Sio, McInerney, Ross,
Neville, Frost
Kennedy, Samu, Brown

R Lonergan, Lolesio
Simone, Feauai-Sautia
Wright, Banks, Muirhead

Reserves : L Lonergan, Pollard, Kahui, Kuatai, Hooper, Reimer, Scott, Albert, Iona, Creighton, Sapsford, Clark, Mogg.

I think Pete Samu and Noah Lolesilo will play despite being on the EOYT. Neither racked up a lot of game time, and Noah I believe re-joined the Pre-season training group early.

Will the Tahs rest all of Bell, Swinton and Hooper?

End of next week, I think - Tahs website has it as Sat 29 Jan, though no news on it since it was announced in Nov.

Thanks Rob. My error - just too impatient for things to start up again.

Latest news on the Brumbies website was dated November too. Hope they make it happen this year.

EOYT players won’t play?
But I thought Valetini was locked in for this match.

Had me worried it had changed date and I missed it.

Trials are meant to be free entry for people with membership. Member packs haven't arrived yet and no word on when they're expected for Tahs fans. What are we required to show to get in? Being a middle-aged overweight hairy guy, I don't think "cleavage" will work in my favour.

thats Clutch isn't it? One of the worse streaming services I've encountered. Yes, I believe you need an account

CluchTV officially.

Results have been a bit variable in their first couple of years, but it's a start in terms of getting lower grade action (like Subbies) out fo the masses.

Got to strike a balance between getting people to attend and watching live or after.

Thanks Reg - a few names unknown to me in that lot, though the main XV is not far removed from what I expected.

Why would subbies need to be streamed?
