TRC2021 - Wallabies v Boks @ Suncorp 18/09

Looking forward to more brain dead shit from FF (Folau Fainga'a) as he's never punished for his stupidity.

I reckon Ikitau has been fantastic. The only bloke I have question marks over has been Banks, but it seems like every time I commit to ejecting him he redeems himself. Can't really see where Paisami or JOC (James O'Connor) fit in right now.

The two I don't get are FF (Folau Fainga'a) and Banks, I guess it's just a lack of viable alternatives, although Rennie was singing Bank's praises during the week, I just don't see it, that's all.
Slipper must have just been given a rest last week, he had previously done nothing to get dropped, and nor had Bell this week. Tom Robbo's an interesting one, however he first came into Super rugby as a tight head, and moved to loose head because the Tahs had Kepu, so it's certainly not new to him. Tate may be a little hard done by, however I'm quite happy to see White starting.

Paisami is tough to get in there. JOC (James O'Connor) takes Hodge's spot.
I'd like to see JOC (James O'Connor) take Banks' spot. Would like to see our attack with a second playmaker at 15, rather than someone who is solid under a high ball and kicks well for line off a penalty.

Hopefully Banks has a blinder and proves he is more than that.

dunno why, he is one of the better technical THPs in the country
How many tests has he started at 3? Or played at 3?

What percentage of Super Rugby games have been at 3?

Not sure how a player who is usually a loosehead prop and ranked number 4 in that category can be considered one of the better technical tighthead props in the country.

I don't think there would be the evidence to support such a claim.

Surely you don't put him in the same class as Tupou and AAA? I like the guy and wish him well, but he's up against the Springboks. Love his work around the field but those scrums will be closely watched.

He started at the Tahs at THP, and was really good (in that he was rock solid at scrum time)

I never understood why he was shuffled to LHP

JOC (James O'Connor) would be returning from a long break, coming from the bench makes more sense. Personally I'd have 15 Hodge 22 JOC (James O'Connor).

I don't actually mind Banks, but I'd like to see him repay the faith with a blinder on the weekend.

I thought his scrummaging is superior to his work around the field. He went reasonably well against Tupou at LHP in SRAu and im pretty sure he started out as a THP.

I don't wouldn't rate Tupou as a technical THP, he is a physical beast first learning to do the technical stuff

I would rate Robinson as good a AAA

BTW - congrats to Hooper on his on-going captaincy. Big milestone.

OK, from you FP, I'll reassess. Let's see how we go.

Yeah agree , but with Hodge , Kellaway and Petaia in the match day 23 you still have possible coverage for JOC (James O'Connor) at 15.

His work around the field is a bit underrated. He goes underground with his carries and makes sneaky metres.

When is AAA due back? Would be cool to see big Pone against the Argies.

He was kind of cornered into it, he was directly asked about his position in the team and basically said what you said i.e. that he must see something that we don't. He's hardly going to say something like 'yeah that's an area we're trying to find a solution for', so had to answer diplomatically. There's been a lot of talk about TB in various rugby circles this week, the pressure is certainly on.

Tex, in his 18 tests I think he's only redeemed himself once.
