TRC Round 1: South Africa v Australia, Sunday 21 July 1:05am AEST

To be honest, the only weakness in our team that seems clear after that first half was our captaincy. Absolute stupidity not to take the 3 points on offer. FFS. Hooper is boardline incompetent as our decision maker
......and that we seem to be playing without a flyhalf. Is Foley carrying an injury?

I doubt he will be fit, and sadly I think he will not play much, if any, Test rugby this year.
And he has never been a lock as captain.
I agree I dont think Pocock's ever really been a great Captian, great bloke a world class player, but his never seem to be a Captain.. He could do the job.

But for mine, we have nailed our flag to Hooper, so I think till at least the world cup he will be the Captain.

Exactly. Great player as he is, he has never been the obvious captain.

I just can't have Hooper atm. When the decisions are most obvious, he seems the only guy capable of blundering them consistently. I figured Pocock is the best alternative - if there was another on field right now, they'd be captain now.

DHP/Hodge. You want him at FB then chuck Banks on the wing.

I'd like to see Banks on the wing. Our scrum gets fixed next week but atm we're carrying 2 useless wingers as well. Koroibete and Banks with Beale at the back looks like potentially our best side but it'd be good to give the Beale/Banks combo a run here late.
