So is this our likely side?

1. Slipper
2. Fainga'a
3. Ala'alatoa
4. Arnold
5. Rodda
6. Jones
7. Hooper
8. Naisarani
9. White
10. Foley
11. Banks
12. Kerevi
13. Kuridrani
14. DHP
15. Beale

16. Uelese 17. Kepu 18. Tupou 19. Simmons 20. Dempsey 21. Genia 22. To'omua 23. Hodge/JOC (James O'Connor)

That leaves Lukhan Salakaia-Loto, Tolu Latu, Liam Wright, Harry Johnson-Holmes, Matt To'omua, Joe Powell as not selected.

Clearly LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) could be anywhere from starting to outside the 23 and Latu could potentially make the bench.

You sure about all that?

I have no info. I'm just going on a potential team with the remaining players and the rumour that White might start.

I agree with Brumby Jack that Hodge is probably more likely in the 11 jersey but I would also like to see Banks starting.

Chances of JOC (James O'Connor) at 13 and Kerevi at 12 if they’re tinkering with combinations and want to give TK a rest?

Don't overthink it, mate, I was just stirring you. It was having To'omua on the bench AND not selected. ;)

So did Sio, Lilo and Robertson all get injured at camp? Probably calves from hill sprints again!

Not the fastest back row - back three also a bit dodgy with neither Le Roux, Steyn or Kolbe to steady the ship there.

Coetzee on the bench is a plus though. Have always rated him.

Let's put this in perspective:

1. Beast - Back from injury, last played for the Sharks against the Waratahs
2. Bongi Mbonambi - Good player, needs match fitness
3. Trevor Nyakane - Average, considered by Heyneke Meyer to be lazy and overweight
4. Etzebeth - Back from injury
5. Lood de Jager - Back from injury, played 50 mins Currie Cup last weekend
6. Rynhardt Elstadt - Don't know. Used to be a bit of a penalty machine at the Stormers. Debut
7. PSdT - Great player, back from injury though
8. F. Louw - Has been pretty average since 2016 ish from what I've seen from him
9. H. Jantjies - Debut
10. E. Jantjies - Struggles when going gets tough, had a relatively mediocre season
11. Mapimpi - Decent, inexperienced
12. Esterhuizen - Not very flashy, but bruises
13. Kriel - Decent
14. Nkosi - Decent, needs more experience
15. Gelant - Needs more experience.

Getting your excuses ready early huh? ;)

That team to v the Darkness definitely scares me more.

No excuses from my side mate.

Just bringing some realism to the table. A lot of my fellow countrymen see just the names and are fairly upbeat.

So did Sio, Lilo and Robertson all get injured at camp? Probably calves from hill sprints again!

Lilo's is a shoulder injury he got in super rugby and they're just giving him another week. Sio's is an abductor picked up in training and will also be right next week. Robertson rolled an ankle and will need a bit more time. Koroibete isn't injured, family reasons, something to do with the new bub you'd assume.

It's a shame Sio won't be playing after the absolute pasting he gave Nyakane a couple of months ago.........

Just a minor gripe. I'd really like all international teams to adopt a common format of naming their sides in the order 1-23. I mean look at that, they go 15-1, and then 16-23. Makes zero sense!

I see there's talk of Nic White starting - I would've thought we'd want to hit the ground running with our best available XV?

Korobiete and Maddocks both being sent home could provide an opening for Banks, considering the lack of pace and genuine outside backs in the squad.
