Now in these reduced overs matches, the umpires have to decide how many overs are to be bowled, if and when the rain should stop. Not only that, they must also decide the new run rate required by the batting side, per the new number of overs to be bowled...
And they do this by multiplying the number of balls bowled, by the number of balls faced. Then dividing that figure by the average age of the batting side, minus, the number of spanners in a sidchrome tool kit.
Who ever won the match between them.Does anyone know how the winner of a pool will be determined if two or more teams have equal points?

6. Should the tie be unresolved at the conclusion of steps 1 through 5, the team that is higher ranked in the updated Official IRB World Rankings on October 3, 2011.
Thank you all - both the witty and the factual.
From a Wallaby supporters POV it was not the answer I hoped for. Bugger.
So say Ireland, Aus and Italy all finish with 3 wins and a loss.
I assume it would go like this
1st - Ireland (cause they beat Australia)
2nd - Australia
3rd - Italy (cause they lost to Australia?)
Or becuase there is 3 equal teams it then goes on for and against? etc etc down the list.
The bonus point issue to me is the reason we should have taken the three right at the end instead of pushing for the try. There was never enough time to win, we would have had to score the try, convert and then score again and there wasn't time for that.
Had we kicked that goal, we would have got a bonus point which when added to the first bonus point plus another two (presumptions I know) would have equalled another win.
