Fans appear to be loving it. I was in Toulon last June and spoke to some locals and they are mad about their players. For years they were in the second and even third division. Now they see a mob of international class smashing teams every weekend.

That has to be the most depth any province/club in the world has in a single set of positions (backrow/outside backs/front row, etc.).

The way they play looks anything but desperate. Guys like Bakkies are playing some of the best rugby of their careers. There seems to be a good player culture and the guys genuinely look like they are enjoying themselves.

No Bakkies already played his best rugby. He is just enjoying himself now and trying to avoid getting cited for running over guys who tries to tackle him. Steyn played in France he looked out of sorts coming back. Might tells you something about the standard when they have fullbacks and flyhalves looking like they belong in the front row.
