Ok I'll try to be positive.

1. If Joubert and Burgess weren't involved in the first game we likely would have won it.
2. We have turned into fast starters, scoring early tries in two of the three games
3. We dominated the Bok scrum and I can't remember the last time that happened (if ever)
4. We have played only 40 minutes in each game vs the ABs, and still nearly won.
5. Our defense has taken a real step up from last year.
6. There is good chance we would have won both AB games if Barnes wasn't injured.

If Giteau plays to his ability we have a good chance to win tonight. I'm looking forward to seeing the Wallaby tactics to negate the Boks kicking game.

The Wallabies are most dangerous with their back against the wall. They will fire up tonight and bring the brimstone and snotklap too ! You read it here first.

Is this the same place we read that the Wallabies would win by 30 in Cape Town?

My crystal ball has been acting up. Tonight is a 30 point victory and the start of something very special.

I'm with Naza, just stuck $20 on the Wallabies to win the 3N at 20:1, the $200 will go towards my new Wallabies jersey, which I buy everytime we win the 3N. Needless to say the letters are falling off my current one...

What will the other $200 go to?

Ok. I'm not a nah sayer anymore. I'm a no fucking way sayer.

This team, this game plan, they're just not up to it. Deans has shown nothing yet has he? Seriously has he?

Just not capable - we have been lucky in previous games to have been so close - we are being found out totally in this one - worst game ever for Gits and he still kick away posession and they sore from it.
Definition of insanity - doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

FT - well children - what did we learn,
1: if Burgess startes another test we will not win, Genia must start - flatter quicker passes
2: get Giteau to 12 and Barnes to 10 for christ sake.

We then might have a back line that operates. Mitchell is still a gimp.

that burst at the end might be taken as a sign of hope for next week. but i still see it as just another tease from this team. no matter how good they looked at times, this game was still truly out of reach well before the hooter sounded.

how many times is it going to be "something to build on" before they actually execute? :angryfire:

i expect drastic changes to the lineup next week. if not, then deans is delusional.

brown: out
burgo: bench
gits: 12

these need to happen

This will be the last time fatprop ever starts a thread like this.

Nup, sorry I am the eternal optimist (you have to be to support the Tahs)

The reality is we were beaten by a bloody good side playing bloody good rugby. They showed us what we need to improve and where our failings are. (aggressive tackling and support from depth)

We won the battle at the scrum, we had dominant possession, we got parity at the lineout against the best lineout operators out there, we mnaged to retain our own ball and get to 6+ phases quite a few times. We sat on their try line and pounded away at it for a good long time.

We were the better team for 65 minutes. Too bad we really sucked in the first 15. It cost us the game.

My glass is still half full. I even think we are a reasonable chance to finish second in this years 3n

Now is the time for calm heads off the field (and some angry heads on the field).

If we get a win in QLD and NZ i'll be happy. plus we have the ned of year tour. i still don't think things are that bad. just end to tweak things round.
