Widely recognised as the premier centre in world rugby during his 80-Test career with the Wallabies, Tim Horan has joined the FOX SPORTS rugby commentary team on a three-year contract commencing in 2011.

Horan joins FOX SPORTS after eight years presenting and commentating on the Seven Network’s coverage of international rugby.

Among his stellar on-field achievements, Horan was awarded the player of the tournament during Australia’s victorious 1999 Rugby World Cup campaign.

He also played 119 matches for the Queensland Reds and in 2005 was named Queensland Rugby’s player of the decade.

Horan said he is looking forward to joining the FOX SPORTS rugby team, where he will join former Wallabies teammates Phil Kearns, Rod Kafer and Brendan Cannon.

“It’s an exciting time for rugby and personally I believe it’s a perfect time to be joining the FOX SPORTS team,” said Horan.

“I’m really looking forward to the expanded Super Rugby competition and of course, the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.”

“FOX SPORTS have a great coverage and have got a strong commentary team which has been in place for a number of years and I’m very much looking forward to joining the team. It should be a lot of fun,” he said.

Jeremy Paul doesn't get a mention. Gee I hope that means he's been canned!

I think that Fox should be training up another main caller, not another sidekick. Clarke is average to OK but he's definitely no worldbeater.

Horan is a Captain Obvious and offers absolutely nothing in commentary. He should fit right in at Fox.
