While Ashley-Cooper has re-signed with the ARU for another two years, he is yet to recommit to the Brumbies or accept an offer from the Waratahs.

Ashley-Cooper has until the end of the month to exercise the out-clause in his contract.

He originally contemplated moving to Sydney because his partner is based in the Harbour City, but he now has much more to consider.

It is understood Ashley-Cooper is waiting to find out who will be the Brumbies' head coach next year following the sacking of Andy Friend.

Brumbies chief executive Andrew Fagan flew to Cape Town this week to talk to former World Cup-winning South Africa coach Jake White, who expressed interest in the job.

Notwithstanding a long list of potential candidates, White is the only coach the Brumbies are seriously considering at the moment.

A deal with White is believed to be close, but not quite done.

If Fagan can secure White in the next week or so, it would help the Brumbies' chances of retaining Ashley-Cooper, their most dynamic strike player.

Some observers believe Ashley-Cooper's decision not to announce anything before the Brumbies-Waratahs game suggests he is leaning towards moving to Sydney.

There is no way Ashley-Cooper would want it known that he had agreed to play for NSW in the same week the Brumbies were playing against the Waratahs.

At the same time, Ashley-Cooper may feel the announcement of his decision, whichever way he goes, would be too big a distraction in the week before such an important game.

Horne has just committed to the Tahs for another 2 years...

Does AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) want to be part of the real Real Madrid of Super rugby?

From the outside looking in I think that AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is about to jump ship & head north to Sydney he doesn't seem happy in Canberra & his form for the Brumbies & Wallabies are looking like two different players.

I think he's just being cramped at the moment by having Giteau at flyhalf.

He still looks good with ball in hand... that is he makes the gain line and drags a few defenders with him... but the Brumbies need a coach... one which is willing to slide Giteau to inside centre...

I'd be pretty disappointed if he left. The Brumbies could potentially have a very exciting young team next year with a good coach and the loss of some troublesome players.

Good call Reddy. Now that Horne has signed on & with talk of Inman going to the Rebels AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) heading west would probably be good for Australian Rugby if he was to leave the Brumbies.

He should not go to the Waratahs. It serves no-one well to stockpile. For good or bad, the Waratahs have Horne (and Cross), Turner can play 13 too and I see no benefit to AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Horne, The Waratahs, or Aus rugby by having one or other sitting on the bench. I would rather see him starting somewhere, preferably with a decent 10/12 combo inside. Force would be good, but he won't go there.

True, but maybe a 12-13 combination of Horne-AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) or a rotation system with one on the bench and rotate each week.

If he had nothing to do with the Friend mutany, I would get the hell out of Dodge. If he went to the Tahs, that might be the catalyst for a shift to 12 for Horne. A Horne AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) centre pairing sounds promising.

It'd be nice to have Horne is pretty injury prone, but selfishly I'd love to see the two of them competing for the 13 jersey at the Tahs. It would solve the Cross dilemma.

And the Force thank the Tahs for solving it for us. Seriously though, a move to the Force would be an inspired choice, but with him trying to get closer to his Girlfriend not further, it's never going to happen.

I hope he goes. He's a great footballer and all but he's not happy here and isn't playing well. I wouldn't mind seeing a full strength tahs team.

Most overrated 13 in australia in my opinion.
