Its typical friggin collusion by the South African powers that be. A Stormers win is great for South Africa, because the Bulls have nothing to lose except momentum. Both semis are in South Africa, and two Australasian sides will have to make the long trek over there to get their arses handed to them, regardless of who they are. Then the all-South African final becomes a reality and the prize is guaranteed to stay in RSA another year.

ITS A PLOT I TELLS YE!

How could anyone ever believe otherwise?

The only possible way for the Seth Effrikans to dispell the universal belief that they are in this case devious, scheming devils is for the Bulls to win the game.
Just keep us (Stormers) out of this. We'll play whats put in front of us. ::)

Maybe I should be glad and enjoy watching the Tahs in the semi on Newlands. :nta:

Bulls 77 Stormers 6. Tahs knock over Canes. Brumbies knock over Offsiders. Tahs beat Brumbies. Stormers beat Bulls.

Justice prevails.

Yeah, Mate, problem is our game :)

It's a bigger problem when your opponent won't lie down for you. ;)

Reckon you can beat the lying-down Bulls?

Or should we call them the Retracta-Bulls?

Dunno Boet, they all tough, when they pull on their Blou jersey, blue underpants and socks and arrive in Newlands , no matter if its U13 or CC, its been like that since the Brutes was born.

But we'll take them full trottle, full force and no mercy. I'll be there and will book my Tahs semi spot also this week. Busy planning a oxwagon trip to Soweto, think that will be fantastic.

What do you think the chances are that the Bulls will finish up the season having played 14 out of 16 matches (assuming they make the final) under a saffa ref?

Is that the number, and do you really think it has had a bearing on results? What about the Kiwi games with Kiwi refs? The Aussie teams with Aussie refs? Did those have a bearing on results.

A quick count shows the Bulls have played 7 matches under a non-neutral saffa ref. The Chiefs and Lions are the next best, having both played 4 matches under non-neutral refs from their nation, the rest are mostly 2s and 1s. The average number of times non-Bulls teams have played under a non-neutral ref from their own nation is 2.23. 7 vs 2.23

The average number of times teams (excluding Bulls) have played under a referee from their own nation is 4.23. The Bulls have thus far played 10 matches under a saffa ref. 10 vs 4.23. They've played under a non-saffa ref twice, one of whom was neutral anyway.

Who knows if it's had an effect? But as with all rules and referees, all we want is consistent application, which doesn't seem to have happened this season. Spread the non-neutrality around. The Brumbies, Reds and Sharks have had 1 non-neutral ref from their nation each. It's ridiculous.

Righto , so we know who will play in the semi's , now to decide where?

Bulls Crusaders
Stormers Tahs

Unless sometrhing silly happens tomorrow night.

I am seriously worried about this Crusaders team in he semis. They are hitting form.

My heart tells me Bulls all the way.

My head tells me Stormers Saders final in Cape Town.

I think you are right to be nervous about the saders blue, not inly because they are hitting form (except maybe for carter) but also because I suspect resting 14 players this week will do the bulls more harm than good.

I really think resting the 14 will have little or no effect on what happens in that game. Too much is being made of it. Time will tell. Win or lose.

I'm only worried about the epic Guiness book of Records level of dirty filthy cheating they are getting away with. Its back to Sean Fitzpatrick's All Blacks circa 1996 levels.

What's with the refs ? Oh, yeah, those rule interpreations....we kind of changed our minds now and couldn't be fucked enforcing the rules anymore. Awesome.

The Crusaders ALWAYS hit form in the last stanza, what is new?
Carn the Bulls Bees, and downgrade the Stormers to a tropical rain depression.
Semi in the Republic, and semi in TahTown.
I wish.

That will be enough to get us that home semi.

Nah I want the Stormers to crush the Brutes B team first, then their A team in the final.

Not quite, the Stormers need all 4 points, for the PD to do it's job. A 5 pointer will put them clear second
