What a surprise. Kafer manages to mention, not once, not twice, but three times that the Brumbies are the ONLY team to win the title from Aus, so we should not judge them harshly. No, sorry, THIS TEAM is the only one to win it.
Kafe, newsflash, it wasn't this team that won it. I doubt anyone who did win it was in that team, save Gits. I don't think the players get any kudos just by hanging around the same dressing sheds that a different team did quite a few years ago.
Anyway, it will be interesting to see what insight Stephen Hoiles brings later.

With the amount of conservative "tone it down" spin going on from Kafe and Hoiles I thought I was watching the American Fox News for a moment.

Hoiles said the decision was the CEOs, but then everytime after that referred to the decision as made by us or we. Not sure if that is something to read into.

I loved Kafe's dribble about it being performance based. Sack the coach after two rounds on the basis of performance (Link update your resume old mate), 99 change hands Kafer. That past and present inner sanctum of Brumbies really does have their heads in the sand.I used to have a soft spot for the Brumbies but those sentimants are now goooone.

At least Kafe's TV analysis segment was pretty good (again). Didn't hold back on criticism of Gits.

Disappointed in Kafe last night. Always thought he was quite level headed but he let himself down with his dogged defense of player power.

Yes Rod, they won it. A long, long time ago. Irrelevant because the core player group now can't be compared to the core group back then.

I think we should lay of Kafer a bit. he did play many years for the club and has always been a staunch Brumbies supporter. He most probably ahs some strong friendships with some of those involved. Should he have seperated his personal from the professional maybe so. The fact he didn't doesn't really worry me and I still regard him as one of the best rugby brains going around.

I also believe that Fagan did make the decision to sack Friend. It was an easy decision when, possibly, you have senior players saying get rid of him or we will keep losing until you do

Don't forget Kafe's background with RUPA. He will always side with the players' point of view.

That's probably a bit of a reflection on the small, tribal and insular nature of the code in this country and it's not necessarily a good thing.

I also thought it was spot on, yet another another another reason for To'omua at 10 and Gits at 12!!!

While I am a big fan of To'omua and not so much a fan of giteau, at this point I don't think the results have demonstrated that To'omua/Giteau offers more than Giteau/Coleman. Potential is well and good, but you don't win Super Rugby games with potential.

Gits needs to roll his sleeves up and start running decent lines, if at 10 flat and straight and if at 12 straight at holes
