Slightly disconcerting that the gears meshed to such an exhilarating extent last weekend without Nonu there. Shouldnt read anythign into it though I suppose...

Looking for a hat-trick next weekend vs the Argies from the Upper Hutt Bogan . He is fast approaching last chance saloon iHomo, given his crap versatility (seems he can only play 1 wing and they dont seem to see him as an FB at all, even in garbage time) and with Piutau looming fast, Dagg wanting his spot back, the pregnant promise of B.Barrett as well as Savea and B.Smith making themselves undroppable

As they say, "form is temporary but class is permanent but that is until your class bits turn to shit forever leaving you completely stuffed."

I see that rain is forecast for the next test in Napier, as it is for Perth. It's round 1 all over again.

I'm kinda hoping that the southerly change arrives a day early. Apparently Jane kept his track suit on at training yesterday & was used as halfback for some of the drills. I'm therefore kinda also hoping that means Dagg is restored to 15 & we can use his boot to get us downtown rather than the more risky running it out approach we tried (& mostly fucked up) in Sydney's wet.....

Pretty sure Thrush is in because they expecting the Pumas tighties to go well, and hence wouldn't want to risk Luatua having to play lock, especially at scrum time, would expect similar with Boks next week.

EDIT: Today's forecast looks marginally better than yesterday's, must be a chance of the southerly coming through in the afternoon/ early evening rather than overnight. It'll still be a heavy track & slushy but maybe not actually pissing down. Even if wet it won't be cold (by NZ standards anyway), 8 or 9 C.

Big screen now helping the onfield guys - Dagg in when he kicked that.

Shame it didn't get used at Twickenham for us a couple of years ago.

Lot of kicking. My feed doesn't show how wet the ground is very well
