Great news for Aussie Rugby! :yay :yay :yay :yay

The Japanese Herald just reported that George Gregan and Stephen Larkham would be returning to Australia for the 2011 season after Mortlock signed to the Rebels. This further goes to explain why Mortlock turned down the Lucrative offers from Japan to play for the Melbourne Rebels. It appears his desire and loyalty was more than the greed for money. He expressed his desire to play in the same team as Gregan and Bernie as a lifetime goal that he had lost playing for the Brumbies. He also cherished the chance to play under Rodney MacQueen who gave Mortlock his debut in 2000!

Mark Gerrard and Jeremy Paul are possible signings to the Rebels and regardless of their ages, these sounds like a positive investment by the Rebels. Cipriani had also earlier expressed to play alongside his childhood hero, George Gregan

Cites your sources, troll!

JP would be a terrific signing if it happened. He is only 33 (and a fit looking 33 at that).

As for Gregs and Bernie, they've both been keeping fit in Japan so who knows. They'd be something special off the bench for the Rebs and if one of them proved good enough to be a WC squad member, wow. It would be a dream.

Still, the great undoing of this rumor, if any even needs to be discussed, is that i don't reckon Corrdingly and Gregan would get involved in the same S14 team in the same season. I mean what are the odds.

This reeks of BS. Sadly.

Actually I thought, given his track record, this was one of wazza's serious posts.
