Whatever it is Barbs, you'll get any number of posters on here tell you how boring it is and how it is the end of rugby as we know it.
there it is - that's the brumby style. All based around a strong defense (iveness)

This discussion is pointless. McLennan will make the decision on who will coach next, just like he did last time. He has an ego as big or bigger than Jones (Alan or Eddie, take your pick). That means he is genuinely the best placed person to choose; in his mind anyway. So all other opinions are invalid. Does this remind you of a couple of heads of countries?I agree we were better under rennie wnd letthing him go was moronic and we hired a moron but let’s move on please.
Who is our coach and assistants
Who is high performance head
Can we get a mick byrne type player to do skills again at super and senior club level - berrick Barnes and giteau split the country?

Based on his last great foray into coach selection and his steadfast refusal to accept any responsibility for it, I predict that he will just choose the very worst option of the ten that are presented to him.
And although he was predominately a skills coach for kicking etc when he was tied up in NZ, I still remember earlier this year James Parsons saying how incredible he was at teaching him things on throwing in to lineouts etc, and how switched on he was to almost every part of game.Someone like him would be excellent. Their is a certain irony he is a kicking and skills coach but he holds the record at the Hawks for most behinds in a game without a goal kicking 0.8
He’s probably learnt to listen to others and take in what assistants bring to the group having not come from Rugby originally. I bet he can teach a skill better than most who have been brought up on it and don’t think about the detail of an action as much. And although he was predominately a skills coach for kicking etc when he was tied up in NZ, I still remember earlier this year James Parsons saying how incredible he was at teaching him things on throwing in to lineouts etc, and how switched on he was to almost every part of game.
Shit, like cream often rises to the topFunny how some people fail upwards isn't it
Yes. Gibson was not a good choice.Cron is being rated on potential over performance at this stage.
In reality he's won less than Coleman. Cron got his start by getting Norths a Shute Shield title. I think he is a good coach and in 15 years it will show. I wish he had of got the NSW job when they gave it to Gibson and we may be speaking differently about him.
Our coaching pathways are as busted and limited as the players.
I would say it generally involves focusing on being good at Rugby Union specific skills such as set piece. Can someone tell me what the Brumbies style is? And how it differs from what we've generally been trying to do?
Tim Rapp! He’s a deadset dud.Andrew Blades was the DoR at Joeys in Sydney for a time.
Cameron Blades HC at Knox
Brian Smith was HC at Scots and now DoR. Has plenty of coaching experience around the world.
Tim Rapp HC Newington
I think these guys are pretty comfortable in their positions though. A guy like A.Blades could be a set piece coach...
Much better to keep them in cotton wool and training! No games… what an absolutely ridiculous comment.Love the Baabaa's concept but as an Aussie I'll be spewing if Tupou, Bell, Valetini, Ikitau, or Kellaway get a long term injury.
He’s starting.$10 says he keeps Hooper on the bench for 75 minutes.
Put in a position completely inappropriate for his experience.Tim Rapp! He’s a deadset dud.
Holy shit.‘It was bizarre’: The inside story of Eddie Jones’ chaotic second coming
The second coming of Eddie Jones began with high hopes, and ended with Australian rugby in its deepest ever hole. How did it go so wrong?www.theage.com.au
I heard he was responsible for signing ex Newington player Tepai Moeroa on some ridiculous amount of money at the time for the Tahs. Unfortunately, a complete waste of money they couldn’t afford!Put in a position completely inappropriate for his experience.
Reflection of NSWRU at the time more than anything I think. How he was qualified to be GM is beyond me.
My guess is he's probably very happy to be out of the professional arena. Although the schools don't tolerate poor results either....
Seems to lend credence to speculation around abysmal comms, senior players challenging ‘the vision’, and diabolical strategy decisions.‘It was bizarre’: The inside story of Eddie Jones’ chaotic second coming
