At 192cm and 114kgs Williams certainly has the size to make an impact - which is probably why he chose league for the up and down confrontations. Don't think Williams has ever played the XV man game though has he?

Tahs might be better off chasing Joseph Tomane of the Titans who had a strong schoolboy rugby career and I believe is off contract next season. He hasn't quite cracked it as a regular first-grader yet though. I think the Tahs had a crack at signing him when he was 17 but at 21 he's not exactly past it either.

Certainly kept a few of the current stars out of the Australian schoolboys team back in 07. Would be great to see him playing rugby again.

I'd like to express how much this thread annoys me.

There are plenty of skilled no. 12s playing colts for their Sydney clubs. Most have probably rejected league contracts to play the game they love and no doubt all aspire to play for the Waratahs and Wallabies.

At the Uni v Randwick colts game last Saturday there was a terrific contest between two 6'4'' 100kg no.12s. These are the players we should be looking at, not players who have rejected union and chosen league.

Bringing in players such as Williams is an insult to these kids and a poor reflection on the Waratahs junior development.

Sheesh. Don't know too much about Colt rugby in Sydders, but is this sort of size a regular feature across the board? And are these kids still growing???

Apparently the Randwick 12 is only 17 years old.

Bruce must be feeding the uni boys lots of that chicken- they looked 15% heavier than their opponents.
