Noooo, the colours are very very differents. 2005 is the true color, 2014 is yellow duckling. The 2005 jersey has an elegant neck and 2014 jersey hasn't.

One thing I don't understand every time a new jersey is released is the criticism from some people that it looks like a "t-shirt" or a "soccer jersey"...............

It's not difficult to sew in a fake collar though. The All Blacks have maintained a fake collar for a while now. The "priest" style sewn in collar with no actual space appeases people but minimises the grabbing space.

Adidas has done that with some of their recent designs and it's looked good, but it's not a necessity...........

As TOCC posted on the previous page there is a supporter version of the new jersey that is the classic cotton style with a proper collar.

The professional version of modern jerseys is never very good as a supporter item for all the reasons people have complained about.

I wish that some designers like Asics, BLK etc would stop trying to give the appearance of a collar on their jerseys.............

Interesting that they have an alternative jersey. Always wondered why we don't have them purely for a sales bump, but I don't really care for the white - I've been waiting for a dark green one for a while and if they ever make one I'll buy it.

lol well, dark green is actually an Aussie rep colour even if in Rugby we associate it more with the Boks.

Question is, would you rather your alternative jersey remind people of the Boks or Kangaroos, or would you rather they think you were wearing an England shirt?

Not really. I didn't like it when they first started doing it and I still don't like it now. I get why they go for the tighter style but it is possible to make them still look like a jersey Slim.
