How are the Junior teams looking for June Long Weekend State Champs?

A couple of Junior state titles would be the icing on the cake of the 2 Blues resurgence.

You blokes work your arse off and grow the game on the smell of an oily rag, and blood sweat and tears of unpaid volunteers meanwhile Rugby Central pisses $2m up against the wall on the salary of a part time CEO.

I'll have to defer to Belly and some of the other regular Two Blues GAGR contributors but ordinarily things don't get too serious with Parra Juniors until the traditional Mothers Day Massacre against our neighbour Eastwood. However, I understand from one coach that he is quite keen on his team's chances.

Former All Black and Waratah Sosene Anesi has been listed in 3rd grade for the past two weeks.

Is he coming back from injury or just interested in playing in the dirty thirds and no more?
Sosene Anesi has been selected at fullback in First Grade for this week's match against Gordon. Sos will also captain the Mighty Two Blues.

I understand Andrew is out injured. I think Woodsy may be injured as well.
Correct, Coxy has some fractures in his foot and Woodsy in his hand, both will be out for a few weeks. Handy replacements in Kaifa and Anese but they'll miss Coxy's on-field presence.

A year ago the loss of either player would have been cause for great concern amongst the Two Blues faithful. Dare I tempt fate by saying we are almost comfortable that we have them covered? A credit to Belly, Coach Christini and the Board.

Include Jessie Leota being out injured. The boys have done really well putting together back to back wins.

With having the depth of talent enable Parra not to seriously struggle when loosing a couple of key players to injury. Is definitely a credit to the people listed above.

Enjoy leading the boys Sos , Will be a great game to watch

Go the two Blues

I'd suggest what you are all saying is that the Two Blues are playing as a team and no longer relying on a couple of individuals. As I've said before Leota is a class act and surely one of the best non S15 players in the Shute Shield. The fact that they can cover for him is a credit to everyone involved in rebuilding the club.

Thommo has hit upon a (perhaps not so) novel idea:

Excerpt from his match report on the Two Blues website:

Eric Tweedale a very happy birthday for Sunday 5 May. Eric is 92 years young. He caught the train down from the Central Coast as treat for his birthday to be at the game. Eric’s heart must strong to sit through the game and then lead the club song in the change room after the match. Maybe we could get some of Eric’s blood for our game next week. It’s certainly worth bottling or would that mean ASADA may step in? “ Happy Birthday Eric”.

For those who don't know, Eric is the oldest living Wallaby and Club Patron of the Mighty Two Blues. Eric made his Wallaby debut against NZ in 1946. He is an absolute bloody marvel.

Massive day for the Two Blues this weekend at Merrylands RSL Rugby Park as the men take on the might of Eastwood and the women challenge last year's premiers Warringah. Five great games of Rugby and Belly's selling Tooheys New again! Life's good.

Going to be another big day on Saturday May 25 at Merrylands RSL Club Rugby Park (aka Granville Park aka Death Valley) as the Mighty Mighty Two Blues take on the dangerous Warringah Rats in the ABC TV match of the round. And our mighty Womens team play Sydney Uni in a battle of two very good teams.

Can't wait!

How is Two Blues Team Rehab looking?
Right to the heart of the problem HJ. Olmstead could possibly be back for the last couple of games but the odds are probably slim, as I understand it. A shame for Evan, he is a good kid with great skills and a voracious appetite for work. Cox has a reassessment this week I think. Leota made a 'let's see if the ribs hold up' return in the thirds last week. Not sure about Tom Woods.

Belly or Ryan09 can probably provide an update.
