Lee, Cliffy is clearly the best eight we've got and the best one we've had since Kefu, but he isn't necessarily world class like Kef was. I think his work rate needs to improve for him to step up and be the guy I think everyone knows he's capable of being. I see him drift in test matches too much for that kind of rating at present. He's a bloody good player, but I reckon he can be even better than that.

I dont know how much closer to a "Karmichael Hunt" you could get Brumbieman especially in union circles.

"Palu has had a few brushes with the law, having spent a 6 month period in a penitentiary centre after an altercation at a night club led to him being charged with aggravated assault and then in January 2009 he was arrested for being caught for the second time in two years for driving without a licence. He was eventually fined and given a suspended sentence."

Also i dont think he is soft, he breaks alot of tackles off of the scrum see reds game 2010, some match against the AB's when he broke richies tackle. Also this beauty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36HrVPCphuI

The circumstances of Palu's incarceration have been repeated here many times, but it's worth repeating when people start calling him a ****. Palu went to the aid of a friend who was being beaten up by two police officers, and won, not a wise move for a black man in NSW. He may be officially a criminal, but he's certainly not a thug, or a ****. Link would never have taken him on, otherwise.

Palu has been the best #8 in the country for a long time. No one has come close. The only guy to even have the potential to do it is Leroy Houston, but we may never see that. Is he world class? I believe he is, he has had to pick up and run off one of the crappiest scrums in world rugby. had to do more than his share of defence and he still looks good. People who compare him to Collins forget the pack he was playing with. Give the guy a break and imagine what it would be like if he had never played. Kefu retires and no one steps up. A decade of lightweight back-rowers running around like a ADHD kid who sold all his Ritalin to the cool kids at school 3 days ago. All bustle and noise but no effect. And thank Wycliff Palu for his contribution to Australia rugby

I am just going to echo the sentiments of others to say that Beale impressed me after a dubious start to his national career last year and early this year as well as the scrum with slipper and Robinson.

I thought Benny A was disapointing, maybe not enough game time after his broken leg, because i found him very impressive in the super 14 season. The brumbies scrum was the pick of the Australain S14 scrums i thought!

Sorry but I think it was on par with the Force. Terrible.

The Crusaders torn your scrum to pieces in Christchurch. Tahs was the best.
