They avoid it as much as possible, and they almost never get the main tv/audio if they do
That's just rugby in general. I don't think it matters what platform it is on.
There are very few pubs where anything outside of a Bledisloe Test will get priority screening to a standard NRL game.

There will be plenty mate. I used to watch a lot of Rugby at the Toxteth in Glebe when I lived in Sydney. Any of Bill Young's pubs will show (Bird in the hand in Glebe)

My understanding is TAB have the control as what can be broadcast in the TAB pubs (which is alot of the big - "sports" pub).
They dont want screens taken away from racing and other high profile betting sports.
Stan need to do their work to get a commercial product for pubs -
They should at the very least be able to broadcast the FTA product on GEM

Take your phone or laptop for a backup - I havent seen any Rugby on screens in pubs anywhere.

Wallabies will all be on FTA. Like I said it's not THAT much of an issue. Maybe for Super Rugby:TT where we have 5 games and only 1 of those being on FTA then it gets a little more difficult.
But the issue isn't a Stan one, this is a Foxtel/News Corp issue, as they are the ones blocking it, I'm pretty sure Nine/Stan had agreed to basically let TAB put the games on for basically free, but Foxtel like an abusive jealous ex just want to hurt Rugby Australia as much as they can. Honestly, the truth is unless Foxtel are willing to relent there is nothing really Stan can do as the agreements in place for the TAB pubs/clubs are all pretty much exclusive deals that prevent them from being allowed to do a deal with Stan. Short of encouraging these pubs/clubs from violating their contract or perhaps finding a way around their contract (or challenging it in court) there isn't anything they can do, it's up to the Pubs/Clubs if the agreement with TAB is worth it -- it is, or if having the Rugby is worth it -- it won't be.
If you don't like it, tell your pubs/clubs but honestly, sadly there will be little to nothing they can do short of violating their agreement with TAB.

Some venues have a number of screens contracted to TAB but not all and TAB has nothing to do with Foxtel. TAB have started some new sports channels but only have rights to American sport.

The reason the pubs & clubs always have Foxtel showing is they pay a shitload to have it and it's much easier to manage that having to load an app when a match is starting.
Stan don't have a product to sell to pubs & clubs as they have only recently started showing sport and really only have rugby. If they start selling to pubs & clubs they would be in breech of their agreements with the movie studios. The standard Stan agreement includes a clause saying you can't show their IP in public (just the same as Foxtel does with a private connection) - If anyone is showing it they are in breech of their agreement (I don't think Stan are too worried just for the sport)

At this stage, Stan needs to create a standalone sport product to be able to have something to sell to pubs for precisely the reason you've mentioned.

A resounding success I think not. Not a deep analysis I know but most of my 20 mates who watched rugby on Foxtel and still have Fox have not purchased Stan and have moved to watch the NRL. Same at my work place no one has watched a game this year.
Now for these guys who have watch and played for 30 years also with many other issues with RA has been the final straw.

"Success" is to be judged by naval gazing? Plenty of us have had troubles with RA, in fact few haven't. But it is a much better prospect today than much of those 30 years. Not that there isn't plenty to do.
Broadcast success is judged primarily by the broadcast figures which have been huge improvement.
