HM Berrick Barnes, king of the f***ing midfield up-and-under. It's no accident Qld won the comp after he went from Eagle Farm to Mascot.

Oh, and just another bump for #WillSkelton. That's how the internet works, isn't it?

Was Henjak ever really touted as the next big thing? The naughties did produce a shit load of overhyped talent. Anyway, on the topic of naughty, he's forever immortalised in DP's crim XV/90s Brisbane private school thread.

The Big Dell case is made on a comparison of the utter cock strutting alpha dominance of his NRL years:
Broncos, 196 games, 122 tries
Maroons, 14 games, 1 try
Kangaroos, 16 games, 17 tries
St George, 33 games 17 tries.

To the relative desert of his time in Australian union:
Reds, 47 games, 12 tries
Tahs, 8 games 4 tries
Wallabies, 37 games, 13 tries.

Looked great in a tight t-shirt tho.

I hear ya Tex but me not knowing anything about that idiotic paint-by-numbers tonka toy of a sport dont help. They could be giving away tries like Cyclo gives away boiled sweeties to the sprogs at the bus stop for all I know.
Wallabies, 37 games, 13 tries.

This is a pretty good return chief

In my opinion Luke Burgess always had that bit of leeway in his game considering he was in the Fifths at Joeys and was kind of goofy in a “I’m stoked to be here” Sort of way. Whereas Henjak had the look at me haircut and the pedigree of his uncle winning the commonwealth bank cup (league schoolboy knockout). Also brought the whole leaguie fight your teammates on the turps thing to the table.
Looking at five eighths? Sam Norton Knight?

No idea here. What was his expectation/crap ratio?

he correctly predicted(for him) on that tour there would be more scoring off the paddock, than on it

Begs the question; where does Al Baxter figure in all of this?
Baxter he’d have killer calves considering he spent a career on rollerskates.

Butch James at 10?

Alex Cuthbert on the wing?

Controversial but I have always thought Etzebeth gets more praise than his actually game quality. Mostert, Snyman, De Jagr all better players in my book yet constantly play second fiddle.

Ryan mcGoldrick our wide somewhere. Crossed over from league with a bit of fanfare, didn’t achieve much. Went back to league, ended up in the UK, collecting tats and apparently using the spare room as a strip club. Always liked yannie debeers from the springboks, wasn’t too athletic, but kicked 7(?) field goals to knock England out of a World Cup. But that probably goes against the concept of looks like they will be impressive but aren’t.

I know i'm going back a bit,but Kit Fawcett at 14,surely?

Was going to mention Fawcett too brokendown, but thought he was too far back, same as Farrell at 15, though to be fair Farrell didn't look a great player in the flesh anyway!

As an aside for the complete opposite, Cowboy Shaw when you saw him in civvies in shopping centre/Airport etc , looked like an innocent little boy, was the exact opposite on the field!
