I don't get the early writing off of the Brumbies. The pack is generally solid and with Bernie working the backs I would not discount them with the talent they have.

The Reds look on the up, have recruited wisely and have a player and coaching group commited to the cause. The way the Reds rose last year for me serves as the perfect example as to why you don't discount any team before the season starts.

Interesting that the teams with the best backrows, Force and Cheetahs, are not widely expected to trouble the top 6.

^^ if you arent going to discount any team before the season starts, then there is really no point to this thread then is there??

No there really is no point to this thread. Would you say it is more of a chew the fat thread? Come back in six months and and see how your guess work stood up to the happenings of the season. If their is point to this thread that is it.

1) 2010 performances, team had key positions filled by players in there prime playing years and still failed to deliver
2) 2010 performances, average age is younger(people see more potential)

Brumbies is a perfect case of the old saying, a team of superstars doesnt make a superstar team.. They didnt play as well as they should have together in 2010 and its hard to see what changes have taken place in the off-season to rectify this.

Agree wholeheartedly with the old saying and it certainly showed last year. I think the team Friendy trots out Sat night will be anything but a team of superstars and will be the better for it. Maybe best not to just use 2010 as a gauge for both the Reds and Brumbies, not to mention Force. And I back Gits to rediscover his Force form.

-Even when the SA teams win, announcers will talk about how they haven´t adapted to the new rules
-After the first lost Spiro and Grumbles will talk about how the Tahs missed opportunities for a title and how they must fire Hickey
-Highlanders will discover a new rising star who will have an awful awful haircut. Gits will be jealous.
-David Pocock snaps and kills his half-backs for being bloody useless
