Tahs vs Reds (Super AUS), Narrabri 20/09/25 @ 5:45 pm

Very happy this is the last tahs home game of the Super Aus season, I'm not sure there was more than one eye between the two commentators tonight. I hope they don't get the Brumbies game next week by virtue of locale. As much as it shouldn't be an issue for a comp that is more about development than product, that was too much to bear at times.

As I’ve said, linking the two is obviously going to happen and I have no issue with that. But to ONLY refer to him as his father’s position while pointing out his mistakes? Is shitty and stinks of a nepotism call. You didn’t make any effort to call him by his actual name. Which the reds press release obviously does (but you conveniently don’t include in your response).
This is verging on virtue signalling now. Mistakes or no mistakes, if he’d set up tries I would’ve referred to him the same way — because it’s a notable connection, and even the Reds’ own media department have highlighted it multiple times. The two things aren’t mutually exclusive; you’ve just convinced yourself they are, and that it automatically implies nepotism

Did Flook and Faeslar end up not playing?
Both came on at half time. Faessler had a bigger impact, mostly due to the way the game played out. He was mostly excellent (scored a try he shouldn't have) but did have one bad overthrow at the lineout. Flook was solid but the backline was pretty deconstructed at that stage, so he didn't have too many opportunities.

It is interesting how QLD are treating this game by their selections compared to NSW.

I am biased as a Reds fan but it seems that only one side is taking the competition seriously and wants to make fans of top-level rugby happy to have games to attend. (I am sure I have now created a curse, and NSW will win to prove me wrong).

Should RA step in and tell NSW to pick a team from their best available players or is their lack of ensuring that quality teams are selected a sign that RA don't really care about the competition?
Welll well well…

Does this mean I predicted an upset???

Extremely disappointed to lose this game, I can't think of a game for years where I actually thought the Reds looked to so poor against an opposition that they should be expected to beat.

We need a backup 10 straight away, and dare I say it we probably need 2 as I am not confident that Lynagh will play the majority of games next year.

This will be 48/12 to the Reds and I'm being kind. 60/0 is on the cards

NSW Backline once again spending the week getting to know each other and the bench is even less experienced.

I'd like to see a few individuals have good performances and put their hand up for selection in match day squads next season which seems to be what the Tahs can get out of this. Hendren showed good some good signs and got involved. Harvey has a ton of natural gifts and Ropata a lot of raw talent.

Still no word on Bowens injury? Played the Lions game then that was it.

19s should be a good game though. Look forward to that.
lol. Wtf just happened

Well - that was rubbish by the Reds.

And pretty impressive by the Tahs. It is always a positive to see some young guys putting their names up in lights - even if I do wish all the guys who did weren’t wearing blue jerseys.
