PB, about a week ago I received an email thanking me for forwarding the material you sent on. He was very appreciative.
No probs Boet. Willie is a legend.

@Lind: In Mornes playday they called him "Bottle Neck", probably the closest he came to a wine grower. Pretty sure he is more into the marketing side. Boland Coetzee his flanker partner in crime and the player invented the fecther role with Thys Lourens back in their playday in SA an expert wine maker and grower. Also Hempies du Toit who was one of the best Tight Heads ever to don the blue and white hoops.

See now Michaels boy is playing for Paul Roos in the midfield.

Rugby365
Unbeaten Paul Roos, who have left the starting blocks in a hurry with some outstanding early performances, entertain Boland Landbou.
The hosts' front row has been receiving rave notices. Last year's hooker, Chad Solomons, has reinvented himself at loosehead, there's another Stemmet, Corné, at tight head and between them is the Energizer bunny, tireless tearabout Ramone Samuels, who already looks a good bet for higher honours.
With centres of the pedigree of Daniel du Plessis (son of Michael) and Michael Haznar, it's no wonder that wingers Dalen Goliath and Luhann de Kock are all too familiar with opposition trylines. To top it all, for the first time in several years the Eikies are able to field a reliable kicker in dependable Jason Worral.

Should be interesting to see what happen when Paarl Boys High (Carels boy in 10) plays Paul Roos.

Paarl Boys' High School's Jean-Luc du Plessis in action. (c) Gallo

I watch the match between Boishaai and Grey and he played a huge role for Boishaai to win the match. Just as handy as his dad wityh ball in hand. Only the SA U20 flyhalf Handre Pollard kept him out of the Craven Week side. Daniel, son of Michael is injured and havent played in the WP trials.

Looking forward to InterSchools when both Pollard and du Plessis will have to play huge roles for their teams.

Thank you, PB, for posting that photo and information about Jean-Luc. I wil pass it on to Willi senior. In return here is a photo of Willi junior playing 1st Grade for Sydney Uni last year:

That's Willi with the ball. Perhaps you recognise the No. 5 backing him up. You should. He's one that got away from your mob.

Will is currently playing 1st Grade. He is a hard-chasing, hard-tackling player.

Thanks, good photo. Nr5 is Vickerman. Ou Willie was also the hard grafting midfielder type, he left the fancy stuff to the younger broers, like it use to be in a family. Look like he is very similiar to Willie (snr)

So the Doep broers legency continues. Michaels son (Daniel du Plessis) playing midfield for Paul Roos this year is in the WP Craven Week final trials. His midfield partner is Ryan Oosthuizen played in Aus with the SA U18 7s medal winners. Carels laaitie is at the Sharks Academy this year.

SA Schools' chairman Lindsay Mould announced the 2013 SA Schools side to play England, France and Wales in August. Daniel du Plessis (File)
Cape Town - Daniel du Plessis will make his Stormers debut in the Vodacom Super Rugby clash against the Cheetahs at Newlands on Saturday.
The talented young midfielder, who has been in excellent form for Western Province, comes into the team at outside centre with Juan de Jongh who is sidelined with a back strain, while Johnny Kotze moves to the replacements bench in place of the injured Huw Jones.
