Kentwell at night would be a hell of a spectacle

Concord has never had lights and the grounds that do such as Rothwell (for example) don't tend to have TV quality lighting

We would likely need to look at a Leichhardt-type ground like Shute use before we could do that sort of thing but I'm actually a fan of that.
We are playing Sutherland at at Woolhara why not the whole day there? Or is the lighting not good enough.
Surely there are venues out there that could cope with this. You could add in a presentation part to recognise all the award winners they would tick that box and encourage more people/clubs to attend. Make a big end of year celebration with the “pinnacle” of our game the centre piece.

I was actually going to ask - it's an NRLW level venue so I assume it has TV quality lighting?

So I'm told. And 4 change rooms, coaches boxes, function room with kitchen, canteen, and 2500 seats. Even got EV charging for those so inclined.

Only issue is the ground can't be enclosed without temporary fencing as Council want it to be a community facility.

Much the same thinking as Eastwood's to Castle Hill

Grand final week for division 1 is here so let’s get the conversation flowing.

Hunters Hill must be the shortest backed favourites in Kentwell grand final history. Looking at their recent scores there is some serious talent.

But.. this team has a boogyman and that is the men from the mountains. Is there a potential bed shit possibility here? I know this is a rematch from a few years ago but it seems to be Hunters to lose?

Hunters aren't just on for a perfect season, they're on for an immaculate one from what I can tell. 14 wins, 14 bonus points, big major SF win too. The only thing more you could have asked of them would be to keep every opponent to nil.

All means 0 if they can't stop the 3-peat. Rugby can be so cruel

Only gave away BP for 4 tries on 4 occasions: 2 Waverley, 1 Mosman, 1 Lindfield

Would this Kentwell Cup season (to date at least) be the most successful by one team? Can't recall too many undefeated Kentwell teams over the years and the scores they're putting on each week are impressive. Even before the comp went amateur there wasn't this level of sustained dominance by one team. They've gone close a few times but I'm tipping Hunters to win the Kentwell Cup for the first time since 1997!

Kentwell - Hunters Hill beat Blue Mountains 13+ - Blueys have left their run late but will be out classed and out ran by a great team.

Burke - Waverley beat Hunters Hill by 5 - Waverley will avenge their Major Semi final loss. Having 1s and 2s in the GF for HH is a great effort but tests the depth.

Barbour - Newport beat Mosman by 1 - Newport really kicked clear in the second half of the year. Mosman have been very good in the finals and typically strong in Colts. Should be a great game.

Whiddon - Colleagues beat Waverley in extra time - the 2 lower grade heavyweights will put on a show. Can't pick it but will back the Blue Giants.

Judd - Waverley beat Colleagues 13+ - Colleagues have taken the long way round finishing 4th but Waverley will be too strong.

Sutherland - Colleagues beat Waverley by 1 - toss of a coin, Colleagues to win another Sutherland Cup.

Correction. Breakers put 5 tries on them in their first round 61-40 loss.

You are correct - my mistake.

Wonder what the factors are in conceding 4-5 tries in those games? Personnel and defensive alignment perhaps? Discipline?

What’s been the big difference with Hunters this year? Why have they been so dominant? Is it just the Camroux brothers being dominant?
Hunters have been close the last few years, I wonder if they win on Saturday similar to UNSW there may be a departure of a number of players if they reach that goal.
Their colts have been strong the last few years but I wonder if the lack of success in their lower grades will be a concern if they do loose players
