Hearing whispers of a last minute Division 2 shake up before Round 1! Certain clubs overly optimistic in the off season but have failed to deliver the required numbers when it counts.

Div 2 is 3 grades and a colts.

Last we heard Hills were struggling for colts?

who are you referring too?

Massive rain band hitting later this week, could force Muir ole trials to be canned.

Epping. Have been unable to revive a Colts team and grade numbers looking light - that is the mail I have received.

Would be a shame. Easter broke up a bit of preseason momentum for some clubs, but can't risk damaging ground before round 1

12 days? Last Year Division 5 didn't get their full draw until after Round 1 was played.

Plenty of time...

Will need to be soon, Round 1 is 12 days away! There isn't much due time left.
Will blow a big hole in the draw with 2 more byes making it harder to keep players focused and engaged.. Lets hope they can pull something out of the fire.

The exact situation the Board was looking to avoid by reinstating the 8 club divisions. Hopefully a suitable solution can be reached.

Even if they can field a couple of grades would be more useful rather than 2 byes at this late hour.

Depends on the standard of the grades. If a club trims down from 4 grades to 2 and all their 1s & 2s stayed, then sure, but if its essentially grades 1-4 of standard compressed into playing the top 2 grades it probably wont work out very well.

Anything is better than yet another two weeks off and a bye. Clubs have commitments to sponsors and support groups that would be left in the lurch. They will be playing first grade regardless of the division they get thrown into.

Managed to put 2 teams together last year, need 3 this year and have heard of a few blokes not throwing on the boots this year for various reasons.... past 10yrs have been almost rinse and repeat. Success in 3rd div, promotion, struggle for numbers in 2nd div, back to 3rd.
