Congrats to the Corp . 1 reserve used for 1sts and 2nd grade colts over 2 weeks. Feel sorry for the lads waiting for some game time .

Haven't they played a game in a lower grade?
It's frustrating, but it's not outrageous not to use the bench in tight games.

Either they are short on player numbers looking at team lists for all colts grades or some boys missed out on game times. Does say a lot how well prepared the players are physically to be able to sustain 320 minutes of game time with only 1 reserve used..(according to rugby link results). No other team can get close to this.

Their 3rds had a reasonable sized bench against Easts. But nothing like the numbers they've had in past years. Maybe newbies don't like the intense concentration on fitness alone in the first 2 months of pre-season?

I think you will find Uni are very close to the maximum points in Colts1 and Colts 2 and can't put many replacements on or they will exceed 40 and 35 points respectively.

They probably can only use 1 point players as replacements.

I have on pretty good authority that the entire 1st front row was changed in the match against the Manly colts last week

clearly aware that the authorities will not be as stringent with paper work as women's golf

Will make interesting reading as the season progresses if this is the case. Hopefully all abide by the competition rules as set out by the SRU.
