^^^ The Corporation won the game, but that matters little.

Awaiting reports from the snouts as to who won The Battle. Junior or Senior Lough.

Finals Watch
That is one lap around the park done and dusted.

6 rounds to go. Which club has the best run home?
Colts 1. The finalists are going to come from:
Sydney University 54 points. To come: Eastwood, Penrith, Randwick, Warringah, Eastern Suburbs, West Harbour, Parramatta.
Randwick, 46 points. To come: Parramatta, Eastern Suburbs, Sydney University, West Harbour, Southern Districts, Eastwood, Warringah.
Gordon, 46 points. To come: Northern Suburbs, West Harbour, Eastern Suburbs, Southern Districts, Parramatta, Manly, Eastwood.
Eastwood, 35 points. To come: Sydney University, Southern Districts, West Harbour, Parramatta, Penrith, Randwick, Gordon.
Eastern Suburbs, 32 points. To come: Manly, Randwick, Gordon, Northern Suburbs, Sydney University, Warringah, Southern Districts.
Northern Suburbs, 31 points. To come: Gordon, Warringah, Penrith, Eastern Suburbs, West Harbour, Parramatta, Manly.
Warringah, 28 points. To come: Penrith, Northern Suburbs, Parramatta, Sydney University, Manly, Eastern Suburbs, Randwick.

50 competition points seems to be the traditional cut off figure for the finals.

Using Rounds 1-11 results and BP allocations (as fraught with danger that would be), as the results for Rounds 12-18, the finals contenders should be:
Sydney University, 89 points (Major case of the Greg Norman's will be needed not to win the Minor Premiership)
Randwick, 77 points (Round 14 v Sydney University will be crucial)
Gordon, 77 points (will they fall to Manly again?)
Northern Suburbs, 56 points (only play 1 of the top 3 on the ladder)
Eastwood, 53 points (lost two very close games against Southern Districts and Gordon in the first lap)
Eastern Suburbs, 51 points (tough run home playing the top 3 on the ladder)
Warringah, 43 points (fairly rough run home playing 4 of the finals contenders including 2 of the top 3 on the ladder)

Round 1 of the Finals knockout them could be:
Sydney University (1) v Eastern Suburbs (6)
Randwick or Gordon (2) v Eastwood (5)
Randwick or Gordon (3) v Northern Suburbs (4)

Colts Club Championship Prediction
The results of Round 14 clash between Sydney University v Randwick will determine which of them will be the 2016 Colts Club Champion.
Gordon seems to have stitched up the Bronze Medal for 2016.

Looks like these games will be played on the evening of the 14th according to the Shute Shield Competition draw.

Have MMM forfeited their Colts 2 and Colts 3 matches against the beasties? There is a 28-0 scoreline up on the web site for those games.

Hobbits v Pirates and Rats v Emus fixtures are still listed as dates TBC.

The Corporation played the Woodies in all Colts grades tonight. No scores posted yet but Woodies twitter reckons:
Colts 3 The Corporation 38 Woodies 17
Colts 2 The Corporation 46 Woodies 28
Colts 1 (Half time progress) The Corporation 21 Woodies 5

Do they have a problem finding batteries for their calculators at Randi-Wix?

In their round 12 Colts 1 fixture against The Mighty Two Blues the score is officially recorded as a 51-5 result. Not surprising as they have been one of the form teams this year, and the M2B haven't.
The Official Record shows that the Wix only scored 7 tries and no conversions or other kicks were recorded. Each Randi-Wix try seems to be worth 7.25 points while the sole try for the M2B was only worth 5 points. As an act of generosity to visiting teams, do the M2B give away an extra 2.5 points per try?

Then the round 2 fixture against Gordon records an official score of Gordon 34 Randwick 17. The official record shows that Randi-Wix 17 points were made up of 4 tries (two meat pies each to Carr and Simpson), and a penalty goal to Simpson. On this occasion the 4 Wix tries seem to have been only valued at 3.5 points each. Maybe the 4 try Bonus point for the match for the Wix should similarly be rated as only 0.7 BP (3.5/5), and the 6 Club Championship Points that 4 x 3.5 point tries gains a Colts 1 team should be down graded to 4.2 Club Championship points.

Possibly they didn't score 4 tries in their 17 points and the 4T BP should be removed from their competition points, along with commensurate adjustments to Club Championship and Colts Club Championship points. Possibly the score was as per the sum of the parts and actually 34-23? Then do we take the Round 12 score to be the sum of the parts again and record that score as 35-5?

I hope this is just a simple typographical error and not an indication of the lengths that the Gallopers will go to to artificially inflate their position on the Club Championship, & Colts Club Championship leaderboards.

HJ, not sure what you're referring to as the "official score" but the NSWRU website details add up correctly to the totals for the round 12 game. However the score for Wicks in round 2 does show 17 on the front page but the details add to 23 --- weird!

I stand by the comments I made at the time I Made the post above.

The record has been amended sometime between when I made my observations and now. Someone in the Brook Street Bunker must read G&GR. :)

I guess they will amend the round two score one way or another in due course.

Round 2 v Gordon the Wix scored 3 tries with one conversion..... at least that's what the team sheet shows. Pretty easy to go to the video to confirm this. Not sure who enters their results...........

Interesting......the NSWRU website shows 4 tries and 1 penalty = 23 points but the score total is 17. I went through all the games and the total "points for" adds to 434 which means only 17 points has been counted for round 2, but the Wicks 51 competition points (11 BPs) must include 1 BP for that game. Something doesn't add up.
