The Reds were 100% possession in the first 20 giving the Rebels little rugby. The ref was determined, and possibly not accurate and a spate of Rebel YCs followed.

Rebels performance down to 13 players early in the second, all the way through to their determination to score a try in the closing minutes (close but no cigar) showed that they have plenty to offer.

That said this was all the Reds. Also need to mention Ross and Codey - the power house pack drove the result. At the back Draper was sublime in a backline that was simply impressive.

Great start to Super W and a real statement from the Reds. Rebels will be miffed with both the refereeing but also with their discipline.

Agree on all of this Dru, Codey pick of the forwards for mine and Draper the standout in the backs.
Reds line out got wonky second half but the pack was as solid all round, very impressed with the progression of Sarah Lewis at 9 and Dascombe, Smith, Wong & Nona all strong and great cameos from the bench.
Hats off to the Rebels, just kept having a dig against the odds and copped a couple of dodgy yellows.
